Whats u big man?? How have you been doing since the show? You did great in the heavyweight class, there was some serious muscle up there.
Strength is about 95% back to normal by now and I am feeling good with a little more fat back on my body.
Lol @ the cool status, but I fully agree. I have been lifting since my freshman year of college, so about 4.5 years I guess. However I didnt learn anything about training and diet untl my sophomore year, which is when I started to put on some weght. I was skinny starting at 145 to 150 pounds.
Well keep at it, this whole bodybuilding/lifting/diet thing is an ongoing battle for everyone - through the good and the bad.My name is Matt and I enjoy lifting heavy things...

Squats
Bar x 10
135 x 10
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 5
365 x 3
405 x 5
Walking DB Lunges
BW x 12 steps each leg
40's x 10 steps each leg

90's x 10 "
Kneeling Single Leg Curl Machine

I then ended up doing a real light set on hack squats (90 pounds) real slow with a hard squeeze for 12 easy reps to really force the blood in the legs. This coming week I will hit legs a little different so that the progression does not stall. My name is Matt and I enjoy lifting heavy things...

225 x 10

Underhand Pulldowns
100 x 10
150 x 10
200 x 10

I had a pretty decent week of training over the past few days. I would say that the strength is back 100% compared to where it was right before contest prep. Also, before contest prep I was sitting at 196 lbs, which I felt great about. However, this time at 100% I am sitting at roughly 188 lbs. Roghly 8 lbs lighter and now I am ready to make some more serious progress over the months ahead of me. I think that this progress might require a new split fairly soon. Maybe in a few weeks I will try a Power/Hypertrophy training split. This will be a first for me so it will be interesting. Now on with training from his week...
5/18 - Push
Flat Bench Press
95 x 10
135 x 10
185 x 8
235 x 5
285 x 5
325 x 3 + a LITTLE help on 4
Incline DB Flyes - It has been a while for these, but man did they make me sore!
50's x 10
60's x 10
65's x 10
70's x 7 or 8
Standing Military Press - I wanted to try these out since they crew at Beyond Limits Training seemed to like them. It is a clean, front press, then behind the neck press all for one rep.
65 x 8
115 x 5 - These are much tougher than I expected! Awesome!
95 x 7
1 Arm cable lateral raises
40 x 10
50 x 10
50 x 10
-SUPERSET-
Cable Kickbacks
40 x 10
50 x 10
50 x 8
1 Arm overhead DB Extensions
30 x 10
35 x 10
35 x 9
Dips - First time for these in months!
BW x 12
+45 x 12
+90 x 6
5/20 - Legs
This one was with my older brother. We killed it. Both of us are now hobbling around haha.
Squats
135 x 10
135 x 8
225 x 5
315 x 5
365 x 3
415 x 4 + a LITTLE help on 5
Plate Loaded Hammer Strength Kneeling Leg Curls
50 x 12
100 x 12
150 x 12
200 x 9 + 2 forced reps
Walking DB Lunges
BW x 10 steps each leg
40's x "
80's x "
100's x " - Had to take a few breaths between each step from steps 8-10
High/Narrow Leg Press
200 x 10
400 x 10
600 x 10
800 x 4
Done!
Now I am ready to very possibly pull some dead weight today. We will see, but lets hope soMy name is Matt and I enjoy lifting heavy things...
