1 Tin Can Heinz Baked Beans - Healthy or Not?

What is your take on 1 Tin Can of Heinz Baked Beans? I just had one for the hell of it, but I feel like crap, because its not sitting well in my stomach. I chose it as a carbohydrate (and protein) source...but I don't think I ever will again.

    What is your take?

Beans are fine, the sauce it is in might contain some sugar (some contain only water and salt though) but it's not going to kill you... When I want to eat some beans I cook them myself.

Beans are fine, plenty of fibre and not bad on the protein either!

Beans on toast is a very good meal

get a bag of dried beans of your choice (dirtcheap) take about 300grams and let them sit in water overnight, then cook them slowly in water the next day until they are the way you like them, 300g dried yields quite a lot of beans so throw them in a tupperware box for later consumption, you will never think about spending money on a can of beans again

canned beans tend to be high in sodium, that's the only drawback really. It might not be sitting well in your stomach because you're not used to having so much fiber in one meal.

The stomach issues could be due to more fiber than your body is used to.

There is a fair amount of sugar in those pre made products.
