Not a hate thread at all, just wondering what peoples thoughts are if he comes in poorly again after this was commented on as HIS show to win?
Olympia qualifying?
Sponsorship?
Career in general?

Think he'll have lost all his fans trust and support if he really messes up this time around, from there he could give up competeing and try to make a living through other means, or start battling back and trying to tear up the lower tier shows.

He needs to stop screwing around with these coin-toss trainers... they aren't working. He needs to go for the sure bet, like hooking up with Hany Rambod or someone.
IMO, Wolf has more potential than any of the other current top contenders, yet guys like Kai and Phil are passing him with ease. If he filled out more and really nailed his conditioning (and I don't mean 07 conditioning, I mean peeled to the bone conditioning) I don't see anyone being capable of beating him. Yet it honestly seems like he became satisfied with a top 5 finish at the O and his drive just hasn't been there.
But you never know, he could show up ripped this Saturday and shut us all up, lol.Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

Agreed.
Someone said owning lower tier shows? Give me a break, Wolf has hit a rough patch, and it has happened to other pros before. As mentioned above, it took Ronnie a long time before he became the GOAT, and Wolf is still quite young and has only done several pro shows.Bench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

he has plenty of shows to compete in up to the olympia to either gain a qualification, or just get the winning formula for conditioning.....
BSN won't drop him right away if he fooks up in NY....
That being said. I think wolf is going to do well. If his timing is right with shedding water and carbing up he will get a qualification and bsn will be happy, and if he is completely dialed in dry and full (slim chance unfortunately) he will win."There is no such thing as over training, you can only under eat." - Jay Cutler

He was a beast in '07 but he started doing too much. I think he psyches himself out and second guesses his physique. I agree that working with a solid trainer like Hany or Glass will really put things in order for him. He has a ton of potential as long as he maintains the will to see it through without being mentally/emotionally drained. I know after the Olympia he really hit an all-time low

I like Wolf. To be honest though I really wasn't expecting him to have a dominating year this year (if he does, that's great). From essentially coming in last at the O, I think he knows it's gonna take a different game plan, and a lot more work to get back to/above his previous high level. If he can get back to the O, and crack the top half with the stacked lineup that we expect, than it would be a great improvement compared to last year. I wouldn't constitute it as a total failure.
I'm not really sure what was his game plan last year, other than really trying to mass up like a lot of the other guys. Maybe in the end he relied too much on his super metabolism to get dialed in. Combine that with his new approach to training and bulking over the season, it just backfired.
If he wins another qualifier show outright, or if he can get back to the O and crack top half, then it will be a good sign he has made better steps than last year and is on the right track. Then I think this would be a transition year to make a big impact for next.

No such thing as a sure bet in BB'ing. Hell, other than heath who does Hany actually work with? No offense, getting Phil to improve or come in in shape isn't hard. He is one of the few guys right now who can still make improvements and has the genetics to do it, plus he's been peeled even as an amateur. Most good "guru's" only work with the top tier guys anyway, making it a pretty shady business, IMO. Works that way in alot of sports though, look at Phil Jackson working with the Bulls and then Lakers, yeah when you only work with potentially the best teams in the league, you can easily look like a great coach...
