Bone popping out of shoulder... (4k+reps)

Made this thread when the injury first happened:
    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=119202081

It's been over a month and I thought it was healing, but there's a f*cking bone or something sticking out of my shoulder, right by my right trap. At first I thought I was just freaking out when I noticed this, but it is definitely there. Did I dislocate my shoulder? I didn't think I'd be able to use my arm if it was that serious, but it's freaking me out.

Sorry brah, not a dislocation, most likely a separation where your collar bone attaches to your shoulder I am guessing. I have two of them Were really painful when I first injured them. They are fine now, no loss of strength or any real discomfort. But now, I can stick them out like a freak. Sound about right?

Yeah I can, I've even been doing occasional military presses without pain. I can't bench tho.

I have no cam, if I did I would prob have an avi lol. It's not incredibly visible, like I doubt anyone would notice it if I didn't mention it, but I can definitely feel it, and it still hurts at times. I didn't think it was dislocated because of the range of motion I still have, but I've never had a bone popping out of me before.

most likely you have a torn labrum, thats what happened to me and I needed surgery.

It will not heal on its own, ligaments dont repair that way. You need a surgeon to reattach the torn ligaments and the recovery time is really long

I'm 5 months out of surgery and I can now lift about 80% of what I used to be able to.

1-2 months post surgery I couldnt do anything other than lift a pitcher of water.

Good luck bro, but you will need Xrays and MRI's to make a proper diagnosis.

Torn Labrum and/or Torn Rotator Cuff is my guess.

Try this, its a good diagnosis

    1) Put your arms out infront of you and with your bad shoulder arm do a thumbs up.
    2) Now flip the thumbs up to point down but keep your arm fully extended
    3) with your other arm push down on the thumbs down hand(slowly) but with the other arm try to resist the force going down

IF your shoulder starts hurting, you gots a torn labrum sir.

It's a shoulder separation. SAME exact thing happened to me (buddy slammed me down)

I had a class 3 separation. Needed surgery and was out of lifting for close to 6 months. They had to go in and repair the torn tendons, which holds down the clavicle. (Your clavicle is the bone popping out right now) It still sticks out, but not nearly as bad.

It's been over a month and I thought it was healing, but there's a f*cking bone or something sticking out of my shoulder, right by my right trap. At first I thought I was just freaking out when I noticed this, but it is definitely there. Did I dislocate my shoulder? I didn't think I'd be able to use my arm if it was that serious, but it's freaking me out.
yea can i see a pic?(no homo) i ****ed up my shoulders a while back but just found out i had bad shoulders from swimming when i was younger and for some reason enables my shoulder to pop out of joint alot easier than it should which hurts like ****...but if you can move your arm around it's not dislocated however if its so painfull you truly can't bench after a week after the injury go to the doctor

IF your shoulder starts hurting, you gots a torn labrum sir.
It's a very small amount of pain, but I did feel something... I don't know if I would call it "pain" though, more discomfort.

It doesnt sound like a labral tear because of the bone protrusion and also if it was a labral tear your shoulder would either be dislocated or would be constantly subluxing (slipping in and out of joint).

I think it is a tear of the coraco-acromio ligament, acriomio-clavicular ligament, or coraco-clavicular ligament. Most likely the acromio-clavicular ligament. These ligs are shown in the pic above. If this were the case it would explain the bone protrusion and the pain when you bench because what I'm guessing is that when you bench your acromion is displaced and now grinding on the rotator cuff below it. If that truly is the case your cuff will tear soon from the grinding. Get checked out.

Probably would have hurt like hell when it first happened, I could barely lift my arms and could feel like crackling and sh!t when I did.

    this

the steps you should take are

    1) see your physician who will order an X-ray
    2) ask to see a orthopedic surgeon
    3) orthopedic surgeon will tell you exactly whats up and order for you to have a MRI
    4) MRI
    5) you bring back the MRI to the orthopedic surgeon and he will tell you exactly what your next course of action should be
