    Derek Poundstone on Soy protein

    "I say all the BS about soy not being sutible for guys and having any effect on estoren or testosterone levels is total BS. There's study after study that proves this but one actor gets outta shape, gets gyno and balmes soy and all the sudden we as a society get our panties in a bunch. Soy is a great addition to any diet, especially a high protien... Read More diet so I'm in the "Yea" column. I consume over 500 grams of protien a day, about 30% from protein supplements (MHP's) of which close to half is soy. I wont list all the benefits of adding soy but one is kidney support which someone who consumes as much protien as I do should keeps tabs on."

    Take a look at his diet. Soy is hardly the main source of protein. He mentions Probolic Protein, which has soy in it, but just look at all the other meat in his diet. Heck, the probolic isn't even 100% soy. It is a blend of soy protein isolate, calcium caseinate, and whey protein concentrate. Then he has that with milk.

    I think his main point is that you do not need to have some fear of soy to the point that you think you must totally exclude it from your diet.
