    What do you eat for lunch that's not a salad or a sandwich?

    I'm getting sick of sandwiches and eating a salad makes me feel deprived. Salad for lunch = guaranteed I'll want to overeat that afternoon.

    Today I have Extra lean ground turkey that I browned in a pan. Added half a can of Heart Healthy Cream of celery soup and half a can of skim evaporated milk. Added in broccoli, water chestnuts. Then added this to cooked Quinoa.

    I brought about a cup of this (it made about 6 servings) in a partitioned plastic lunch container with cut up boiled beets with cinnamon on top. YUMMMY
    Joy is the best makeup.

    Men, Please do not PM me looking to talk. I am happily engaged and am not looking for anything of the sort on here or anywhere.

    Why not have a lean protein source, rice and steamed green veggies? Those arent reserved for ''dinner'' .
    If not, I like a can of tuna, hard boiled eggs and raw vegetables;
    Cottage cheese with yogourt and fruit in it;
    Homemade Hummus and ww pita bread with almonds...

    Possibilities are quite endless

    I bet your talking about being away from home, needing ssomething easy....maybe.

    Anyway, I always have some almonds at work or in the car. These are always great to get some calories, and it only takes a handful to satisfy. These are great in beween meals.

    Also, I will cook all kinds of food one night of the week, and then place the food into small plastic travel containers, portioned into serving sizes.

    Chicken, Steak, rice, quinoa, etc.

    Try cooking rice or quinoa with chicken or tomato bullion. Tastes great, and is easy to prepare.

    Hope this helps.

    Today I've got 2 no-salt rice cakes with 2 tblsp peanut butter, 5 oz grilled chicken and 125 grams of sliced cucumbers.

    I look forward to this meal everyday - maybe I'm easy to please? If I get bored, I'll throw some spices or fat free dressing on the chicken...

    I usually do leftovers.

    Sometimes I do 1 slice of WW bread with 3 hard boiled eggs on it, as sort of an egg salad sandwhich. I mash the eggs up with my fork, add mustard and enjoy.

    Sometimes I do tuna on bread with mustard. Or, I add a can of drained tuna to rice, or mashed potatos (sweet or normal), or veggies. I love tuna and peas together...lol. Tuna with cooked pasta is good - add some EVO or pesto and you're good to go!

    Sometimes I just do plain ol' chicken, sometimes I do a chicken taco style wrap or a taco salad.

    The possibilities are endless!

    Chicken or lean meat with brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato and veggies. Sometimes I have whole wheat pasta with grilled chicken, EVOO and parm cheese tossed with veggies. Oh yea - I haven't posted in a while so hi everyone!

    Mmm I did this today 'cept I sauteed the chicken. Then I threw it over a pile of raw spinach-- so flavorful no dressing needed.

    Hello, Emoore

    A Few Idea's here, I got this first one from a friend. I like having it with Buffalo too or Ground Turkey.

    Stuffed Red Peppers. This is how I ate them the other day,

    1/2 Cup of Extra Lean Ground Beef (180) + 1 Cups of Broccoli (50) + 1/4 Sweet Onion (15) + 1/2 Cup of Zucchini (33) + 2 Red Pepper?s (48) + 1/4 Cup of Salsa (15) (BAKED RECIPE Stuffed Peppers no oil)

    I also really enjoy this, I only have it maybe once every two weeks as a treat: (I don't eat a lot of noodles) I also really like it with Buffalo.

    50 Grams Of Rice Vermicelli (220) + 1/2 Cup of Extra Lean Ground Beef (180) + 1/4 Cup of Salsa (15) + 1/2 1/4 of Sweet Onion (7.5) + 1 Cup of Broccoli (50) + 2 Tsp?s of Olive Oil (80) + 1 Cup of Turnip (28)<<<sometimes I've been known to crumble in some low sodium whole grain taco's with Shredded Cheese.

    I also like to make a cold bean dip. Choose which ever veggies you'd like to chop & layers are the key. I've used, Refried Beans, olives, salsa, low fat-no fat sour cream or cottage cheese, grated cheese, Jalapeno's, diced roma tomatoes. Refrigerate, Eat with Taco's or anything really.

    Mind you, the last time I ate cheese was about a month ago.

    You could always make a crock pot of stew or goolash (sp?)

    I guess a wrap is out of the question? Kind of like a salad & sandwich in one. But if you're looking for idea's,

    I LOVE a good toasted whole grain tortilla with chicken & mango & lettuce with half the fat mayo. When I am out of Mango, I've used Nectarine, but today I used some sliced apples & salsa with the mayo.

    Another suggestion would be, a wrap with scrambled eggs & turkey bacon & a little mayo with a tomato.

    Sometimes I like to have my Quinoa with veggies & a dash of unsweetened almond milk.

    Hope this helps! Take Care
