Should you listen to your body and only eat when you are actually hungry?
I am talkin about during a cut, for the record.

Personally, i dont think either is the best.
I think you should eat whenever it is most convenient for you to eat.
6 meals per day is good for roid heads who are bulking and need 5 million calories per day. But on a cut or maintenence for the average person, it is over kill and a pain in the ass.
As for eating when you are hungry, what we call hunger isnt really hunger. Its just ghrelin and psychological factors so its not really the best gauge of things.
Base your diet around your work, rest and play.

Arnie's book- he says 2 to 3 hours.
I also had a very successful bodybuilding acquaintance a few years ago and he said the same.
It works for me so I figure they must be correct.
A little FYI too- the body can only utilize most of the protein in food, not all. Thus, one should eat a little extra in point of fact. I will scan the chart I have with the specific amounts and post here as I think it could be helpful.Last edited by luv2pump; 11-14-2009 at 07:52 PM.

its probably from the supplement companies who happen to put 30 grams of protein in each scoop of whey.

Well, I have done a quick search on it just now and I heard many schools of thought on it. I think it's one of those things that everyone has a theory on. Half the people agree with you- and half agree with me.
I can live with that. Hey, whatever works right?
And I may be wrong but that's how we learn in life. I shall study up on it more.Last edited by luv2pump; 11-14-2009 at 08:17 PM.

i've been really fortunate to lose almost 150 lbs eating only when i was hungry.
my body/hunger hormones seemed to have adapted EPICLY during the transformation process.
however, during my period, i can eat the whole entire house down (serious) & seem to still make progress, despite binging once a month during this "special" time. lucky us, eh? women have it harder. xD
edit: yes. i'm pretty sure it's been almost 150 lbs. i must've been 300'ish in dec of '06 & should be close to 150 now; haven't weighed myself since i was 15, though. but i can't be more than 175. =SLast edited by trance__dreamer; 11-14-2009 at 09:26 PM.

11-14-2009, 09:40 PM #24The fact is you're not gonna make good gains with a bad diet steroids or no steroids
Roids make a huge difference to your bodies chemistry, the average guy on good diet and training will look like a bricklayer or a road worker and doesnt need to count every macro, micro ph level acidity bs....

UUummm , NO....
The main thing AAS will do is increase protein synthesis. The diet itself should still be a higher caloric / higher protein diet for making muscle gains.
The other thing that AAS will do is increase anti catabolic activity. So a lower caloric diet won't necessarily cause a loss is muscle size or strength.
But even in those cases gains are slowed....
It still take a good diet and solid training to make gains either way.Kickin your azz everytime

I still say in life people should always do something all the way. That mean, properly educating yourself on whatever it is you attempt. You get what you put in. I think anyone who does this should go as far as they can with it as it is the best thing on earth you can do.
