    Pre Workouts bad for you?

    I'm just like everyone else and have tried SP250, White Flood, etc. but are they bad for you? I know they can temporarily raise blood pressure, but other than that can they pose any potential cardio vascular risks in moderate use?
    I've heard people say stimulants can weaken your heart because it makes your heart work harder than it has to...?
    Can anyone shed light on this matter?

    i've tried SP250 and i never experienced any bad side effects
    I never have tried white flood, but ive heard great things
    Usually for most people if you take pre workout supps in moderation they wont cause any heart problems

    Depends on how much caffeine is on there, age and how healthy you are and yea I can see some truths to that, the worst one IMHO is for the past 3 years I have to take it preworkout its an addiction!!

    Ill tell u my exp with stims. I tried most pre workout supps and one time i tried a sp250 sample and next day had heart stings for like 2 days straight. No idea but once i cycled off caffeine and it stopped.

    i just posted a comment about white flood and i basically said it was on the healthier side of the pre workout category for a couple reasons. 1. It has CoEnzyme Q10 in it that actually helps oxygenate your heart. They give this to people with heart issues because of the benefits it has for the heart. Since it is a proprietary blend im not sure about how much of it is actually in there. 2. The only stimulants that are in there are caffeine, theobromine (weaker than caffiene) and L-tyrosine. These are basically things that you find in things people consume every day. Now i think its safe to say that two scoops of white flood can be about 200-250 mg of caffiene...basically a dose that, yes, can raise blood pressure temporarily but think about this...1 cup of coffee is about 100 mg of caffiene and some people drink tons of coffee a day...not to mention smoke ciggaretts too...and dont exercise...THAT is bad for your heart.

    It's possible that it's bad for you. I've been on blood pressure medication since I was 22, because even off supplements I'm screwed up now. That was also before I toyed around with prohormones. I just accept the fact that my heart will explode by the time I'm 40.

    Most MD's would **** a brick after reading the ingredients in the pre-workouts available today.

    They are a scam anyway. Just drink some coffee or pop a few caff pills.

    I switch back and forth between Superpump and Animal Pump, when on Animal Pump, I chuck the red Stims pill away and add a Mega B-complex pill as a replacement.

    works great for me, so when I get back on Superpump, I get more of a kick.

    from the Animal site, I also read that taking arginine products releases a lot of free radicals in your body, so you should take anitoxidants with it.

    Animal pump has antiox in them, which is good.
