I would say yes, yes and no. As long as it's all fitting into your macros, and you're getting everything you need, you're a go.

This is correct. Too many people get hung up on what they should and shouldn't be eating while cutting. If it fits into your diet eat it. Now when you get several days away from stepping on stage, there will be a few things that you might wanna avoid.

Just had this conversation with a client of mine.
And they couldnt beleive I had peanut butter and cool whip every night up until two days before my last show!! I just count the grams, thats all.
Point is, you can enjoy food while doing a prep!

I've been eating whole wheat pasta every day of my prep so far and have been consistently getting leaner every week. Like other posters said, if it fits into your macros...besides, it is a complex carb with very few sugars. As for bananas, again, if you can fit them in, then don't cut them out.

If I client had no adverse reaction to wheat pasta, or any other wheat products, would you still have that client cut it out?

depends on the client and how lean, I let Zoa do it right up until the NA. because she was losing too fast

So, are you saying that the rate of fat/weight loss is the reason of whether or not you let a client continue to eat wheat products?

Hey, been reading the thread and have a question about the wheat debate.
Are you guys saying its smart to take wheat out because it is not as natural so to say as brown rice or oats? Because its a more processed products?
I was just curious, (im doing a cut with Austin Kjergaard, idk if any of you guys know him but just wanted to give a shout) and will not be competing for a while but I have always wondered why and when wheat should be cut out.
Thanks!

In caloric deficit, a carb is a carb. 1g of carb from oreos provides the same energy as 1g of carb from brown rice. Take it from the countless people people who have gotten shredded beyond belief eating foods that are not brown rice and sweet potatos.

No, wheat is fine. Its energy. If you eat too much, you get fat. If you eat less than you burn, you lose weight.

Crap. Does this rule preclude me from posting ANYWHERE or just in this thread.
Complicated subject....

I appreciate the clear up guys.
I have just heard many different views so I was trying to get to the bottom of it or at least get an educated majority opinion.

Theres a huge difference between book smart and experience smart,I've seen countless internet gurus and they sound pretty much like you guys, when somebody comes in here with 20 years of pro level contest diet experience you argue and try to sound smart, most of you guys havnt even competed, how smart is it to argue? Listen, ask questions, or argue I bet I'm the only guy in here right now getting people ready for IFBB pro shows.

Actually the real pros in here are both book smart and experience smart, but nice try
And a lot of the others have competed before, so again, a swing and a miss!
And no one is arguing if you can actually make a good point - but your knowledge is weak and you can't explain anything other than broscience that only people with enough drugs can get away with.
Everyone ignore this troll unless you want a good drug plan.
