I just got my photos in from the competition - they didn't turn out very well as far as quality goes once I finally got them on the computer but the photographer did get some excellent shots!
I posted this in the Pictures Forum but here it is for the teen section as well. I have everything posted up in my competition cutting log too, of course - still linked in my signature. (If you're interested, I tracked everything from day one including diet, photos, plans, the math and methods I used, etc.)
I took 1st Place in Teens and 2nd in Novice Men Lightweight Division.

Pictures from AFTER the Competition
(Me RIGHT after a chocolate pancake binge until I felt like I was going to die - bloated, spill-over, and no pump.)
(The two trophies, #1 Teen and #2 Novice respectively.)
(Again, with the # I wore for each class.)

^Thanks!
No, I never recieved any at least - I'm hoping a few might turn up on some random forum or something. I saw some of other competitors in a search result but all there was regarding me was a comment that I "had potential." I'll definitely be checking around for some though.Waging war against misinformation!

Big congrats again man, I'm considering doing the Las Vegas Classic next year as my first competition as well. How many competitors were there, how did the competitors show up (in great shape or relatively decent)?
We'll definately have to train together sometime since your just on the other side of the city. My schedule should be freeing up in about 2 months. You planning on competing next year as well?I'm just here for the gangbang.

Oh I'm so jealous you've competed, Good job man.
Was that you who posted uup the vid of your routine a while ago?
If so your side chest is wayyy better" The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Thanks - go for it man, it's a blast meeting fellow competitors and stepping on stage. Definitely worth all the cutting.
The lighter you get the fewer competitors there were - there were only two in Novice Men, which was disappointing. I essentially showed up to buy a trophy.
(Though I still believe I should've beat the other guy. They said I can call in for specific judging results, which I'll be doing soon so I know why I took 2nd. I really want to see some comparison shots!)
There was a handful of impressive and well conditioned competitors, mainly in the Open classes though. If you come in with Open level conditioning in the Novice divisions, you'll probably place on that alone. (Granted you have a decent physique as well.) There were a few outstanding Novice competitors, however.
And of course I'll be continuing competition - that's an interesting proposition.
Thanks. Haha, it's an interesting place with a lot of interesting attractions. There really isn't much for the "under 21" individual though, so good plan.
Thanks - my arms have always been one of my best body parts. Apparently my legs are also starting to get some attention, which used to be my weakest body part only a year ago.
Thanks a lot!
I actually discovered that MM pose only a few days out - I'm glad I did, the crab pose just wasn't doing it for me.
Suggestions, pictures (my own as well as others), and the mirror. I take progress pictures frequently so I'm always reviewing them and making adjustments to how I pose. My (crude) posing routine video was also a big help - I made a lot of changes and adjustments to my routine and posing in general based on that video alone.
Forgive me for being blunt but I've noticed A LOT of people (in and out of competition) tend to suck at posing. There's no reason for it - all it takes is a little effort, analysis, and practice. I still have a lot to tweak and work on as well though, I've already noticed a couple (actually several) little things I want to change just from looking at these pictures.Waging war against misinformation!

Thanks!
I've already gained 16 lbs since, which I don't recommend - it's been quite uncomfortable. (Haha, next time I'll be sure to EASE back in to a normal diet.)
Thanks, it feels great to actually step on stage!
Yeah - that was my vid. Keep in mind that it was REALLY rough and unpracticed, my actual routine was 10x better and more rehearsed. I took out a few things, added a few things, and changed a few movements/transitions.Waging war against misinformation!

I feel like my arms overpower my shoulders - they're one of the parts I'll be brining up. The biggest issue I'm going to be focusing on is back width, by the time I cut again I should have a lot more of a distinguished v-taper. There's a few other areas I'll be working on but that's my primary concern.

Of course. At the moment, the plan is to bulk until I reach at least 175 lbs. Depending on how things go and the rate at which it all happens will determine when I next compete.
I may end up competing fairly early in 2010, there's a few competitions I've been eyeing for a while now.
In the photos I think my arms measured between 15.25" and 15.5"
Haha, I'm already back up to 16" again.Waging war against misinformation!
