    question on shoulder presses

ive always just pressed up as far as i could and then lowered, but i heard some personal trainers saying to keep your shoulders down when you press up, i guess kind of like someone is holding them down with their hands. which is proper form? the latter feels a diff., havent tried it yet.

    well

the first method is the standard one, and a good one, as long as u dont go 2 lockout, as it reduces tension

If your traps go up, your shrugging and taking some tensionso ff the shoulders. The latter version will put more stress on the deltoids.
