This house is $19m on the Gold Coast (Hope Island) and they used to have a photo of the underground garage which had 8 spaces and if I recall there was a Murcielago, Gallardo, Rolls, F430 in the picture.

If I remember I will take a photo of and include listing photos of a beautiful beachfront house about two streets away from me and post them up here.

OP you will like this site:

Wow, such a beautiful home and location and the dock and harbour wall for the 50+ ft yacht tops it off it is a shame the box jellyfish and irukandji there make the water unswimmable. OP when you read this please pm me a listing or more link to see/read more about this.
I hate people posting this because:
1. The home will likely not cost $1bn because you can build a luxury office and residential tower this size for 1/5th of that price the only person who said it is a $1bn home is some idiot blogger and everyone else believes that.
2. It is likely not going to be just a home but also an alternative fully functional office, home for his extremely large family and a venue for entertaining some of the worlds most powerful bankers, ceos and politicians as you would tend to do often running a $50bn revenue industrial empire.

Hey man post some from BC. I know Vancouver has lots of nice homes. Nobody can aspire to an apartment or home with a view of iconic structure in the skyline in Vancouver as there is none really (unlike NYC's statue, London's Tower Bridge, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Eiffel Tower or Arc De Triumph like in Paris) but in its own way Vancouver is a beautiful city in some parts and still has a decent skyline especially if you get a view of the mountains behind it like so:
I know there is some amazing homes around Shaughnessy, UBC and Kitsilano and there is some amazing views to be had in Whistler and the rockies so post some of your provinces best.
I was looking for a contemporary harbour front home in Sydney which was on McMahon's point featuring 2000 sqm (20'000 sqft) of land and around 5 large bedrooms with landscaped gardens and an infinity pool with the greatest view of Sydney Harbour bridge, Opera House, Luna Park and the general skyline (including Centrepoint Tower) but couldn't find it but will post an apartment with similar but not quite so good view to give you an idea of what the owner wakes up to every day. It is just an average apartment with a great view so I won't post the building but just the view:

Having lived in both of the best states in Australia (QLD and NSW) I'd have to agree with you but I must add Sydney can stand upto and outshine Brisbane and Gold Coast. We sure as hell don't have anything as nice as the Withsundays region (Byron or Jervis Bay isn't nearly as good) but we have amazing views in the city. Waverton, McMahons Point, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Wooloomooloo, Potts Point, Point Piper, Cremorne Point and Vaucluse offer some of the most amazing views in the country and then you have Dover Heights with incredible cliff top ocean views. We have beaches as good if not better with Tamarama, Bronte, Coogee and Bondi beaches on the South and on the north shore we have even better beaches which also have frontage to the smooth waters of Pittwater as well as ocean such as Manly, Dee Why, Monavale, Newport, Avalon, Whale and Palm Beach. So yeah QLD we styling on you in NSW.Last edited by MelioraX; 05-04-2010 at 06:44 AM.

As much as I like looking at these houses, I just couldn't see myself living in something like this:
1. All of those California beach fronts are hanging on cliffs. This is the reason why California is known for house destruction due to mud slides, because people are stupid enough to place their houses on top of or below deep sloping cliffs.
all it will take is a couple of unusually bad winters and that house is done.
2. Who is going to do the cleaning? Look at those windows high up on the ceiling, all of those nooks and crannies.
TBH These houses are almost like concept cars. They are never meant to be lived in or driven.
Also, how do you keep those pools clean? you'd have to have maids and butlers around your house 24/7 just for upkeep.Last edited by Maestro; 05-04-2010 at 06:50 AM.

I am sure there has been work to ensure there has been work to ensure the integrity of the plot of land. They would know if there was a slip plane or cracking that would result in a collapse and if it there was they would not build there. The land would be relatively stable and home built on a substantial foundation that goes a long way underground in this home so it is not at risk of falling into the ocean.
If you can afford that home ($10m or more) you can afford to have windows cleaned often, it wouldn't take much to install a glass washing machine to do this automatically either. I agree that it is unlivable it is probably 20000 sqft which is certainly too big to live in unless you have a dozen children but if it was half size (10000 sqft) it would be tops. Pools have a device to automatically clean themselves and yes I am sure you would have a cleaner and yard maintenance person come visit every week which doesn't cost much (second home is in Aust not Ca).Last edited by MelioraX; 05-04-2010 at 07:03 AM.
