Will an enzyme supplement such as NOW Super Enzymes lead to (increased) assimilation of fiber? Thank you

Cellulase for instance decomposes cellulose down to shorter chain polysaccharides, cellobiose [a disaccharide], and beta-glucose. Now depending on the actual makeup of the cellulase enzyme itself, very little if any beta-glucose may be yielded. So most of the cellulose would still flow into the intestines - albeit in shorter chains - where it is still subject to fermatation. If less fermentation occurs, you'll get less gas and bloating from that fiber.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

"Cellulase" is an enzyme complex that is commonly comprised of a number of sub-classes of cellulase [beta-glucanases] that have various mechanisms of action which yield cellobiose along with cellobiase [beta-glucosidase] which is what catalyzes cellobiose -> beta-glucose. How the enzyme complex is produced determines the composition, activity, strength, affinity, etc... of it. The beta-glucosidase content is what would produce the beta-glucose. Otherwise, it just keeps moving along. Mind you, the strength of what's contained in a digestive enzyme is generally peanuts.
