why the dinosaurs were wiped out
OK, consider the physical evidence.
The moon is moving away at a tiny, although measurable distance from the Earth every year. (Unless your Bruce Almighty and you pull the moon in!!)
Do the math and you will clearly see that 85 million years ago it was orbiting the earth at a distance of about 35 feet from the earth's surface.
This would explain the death of the dinosaurs; the tallest ones, anyway.

Chicxulub ateroid hits in central america, debris blocks out the sun causing plants and animals to die from sudden large temp drops, once the dust settles greenhouse gases from the impact were high and temperatures went a lot higher than they were before the asteroid hit.
