I keep going to BK to get a double whopper, and after taking off everything, leaving two patties, this is an awesome meal! In moderation, of coarse ;D

yeah the ratios might seem ok, but im sure you dont want to include what the sodium content on that is that meal for some reason im guessing its more then 150mg (maybe not though?). But go for FRESH food (fresh cuts of meat prepared yourself), but if your cut for time at times like lots of people are then you have to make due with what you can.

I know thats what it says in front of you on your computer screen lol, but do you really think them two patties only have 150mg of sodium. The whole original burger has 1090mg of sodium so it says, you think that everything but the patties (bread, lettuce, onions, etc) has 940mg of sodium then you must be crazy. Trust me when I say I promise you its more then that, fast food nutrition data bases are not always 100% correct. I work as a Nutritionist for a living just trust me. Go for fresh meat thats all Im saying stay away from fast food prepared meat if at all possible.

Trans fats
Trans fats were developed in a laboratory to improve the shelf life of processed foods — and they do. But, calorie for calorie, trans fats are even more dangerous than saturated fats because they increase the bad cholesterol and lower the good cholesterol. Most stick margarines contain trans fats, and trans fats are also found in many packaged baked goods, potato chips, snack foods, fried foods, and fast food that use or create “hydrogenated oils.” When purchasing margarine spreads, snack foods, and other items, check the Nutrition Facts panel to ensure that the label lists 0 g trans fat. Since foods that contain less than 0.5 g of trans fat are legally permitted to list 0 g on the label, you’ll also want to scan the ingredients list to make sure the product does not contained any “partially hydrogenated” or “hydrogenated” oils. There is no safe amount of trans fats, so try to keep them as far from your plate as possible. To break down barriers you must ignore limits

I am fully aware of what transfats are.....was just saying it's beef patties. Mostly saturated fat with what appears to be minimal trans. Couple people seem to be confusing saturated fats with trans fat in this thread was my only point. I was not saying fast food burgers are an excellent choice......but on occasion it is not the end of the world. Curious what part of the burger or what addition to the meat adds the transfat.

Right, burgers should not have trans fat in them unless the restaurants put them in it.
If wendy's can make the claim their burgers are 100% fresh because they keep their frig 1 degree above 32 degrees (freezing) than we can say Burger joints are not 100% beef if they are adding transfats to the meat.FEED THE MUSCLE, BURN THE FAT!

All beef contains trans fats in the form of CLA. Check your facts!
My post was a trap and anyone that stated that fast food chains add trans fats to their patties are clueless.

Just curious... what does BK throw down on the grill/griddle to cook the burgers in? Are they using some sort of cooking spray, etc? That stuff is usually completely comprised of man-made trans fat.
Either way, I avoid fast food joints like the plague. I just like to know what I am eating. I honestly have no clue at a fast food restaurant. Very few things even resemble what they are supposed to be.
