the real Chopper was an infamous criminal in Australia, there's a movie about him starring Eric Bana (never saw it). That's all I know... maybe some aussies can explain

the movie about chopper is actually very good, has some good aussie actors and chopper is a ****ing nutcase which makes the movie even better.

he was a criminal armed robbery kidnappy fire arms you name it. He got an inmate to cut off his ears in prison cos he was a wanted man that way he would get transfered into a mental hospital

I saw the real chopper a few years ago walking to the train station after a university class. He was being interviewed by a radio station.
