    Just do what comes naturally.

Why do so many people over think things?

    Just lift the damn weight!

i bet you've also heard the inhale on decend exhale on ascend.

You should notice you automatically hold your breath when you are about to lift or push something heavy, eg. when your about to try push your car you take a gulp of air and push real hard without breathing then exhale and take another gulp and keep going.

If you don't hold your breath when lifting heavy all your muscles aren't tightened and you won't be able to lift efficiently.

I don't see a good reason why you would need to hold your breath.

x2, if the rep range is three or less. Any more reps than that and you'll pass out.

You just breathe after you have completed the motion. I really hope you arent holding your breath for 3 reps.

Before each rep for safty and core support reasons you MUST fill your chest up with air. And for me i let out about 2/3 of the way up. You sould be doing this with every compound lift.

Your breathing is the last thing you should be thinking about when deadlifting. The only thing you should be thinking is PULLLLLLLLL
