It's being reported that Dixie Carter's pre-Impact address given to the entire roster of TNA talent was NOT scripted, and in fact was genuinely how the TNA President feels at the moment.
There was speculation that her address was a work, and was written into the show as part of a story line, however it seems that is not the case.
There has been a lot of frustration in the TNA locker room as of late, as we have reported, with stars such as AJ Styles and Daniels voicing their concerns with the creative direction of the company, and it seems as if Carter's speech to the talent roster this past week on Impact was designed to let the wrestlers know that she is in charge and in control.

it didnt look like a work one bit, it looked like an angry mom yelling at her upset kids
not one member of the talent looked happy during that meeting, yet you could see Russo sitting behind her in the shadows and somehow (despite his history with Hogan) seemed to have a maniacal look on his face that i could only interpret as happiness or contentment.
it was a very strange way to open impact, thats for sure.

of iMPACT!, TNA President Dixie Carter addressed the numerous changes made by the company in recent weeks to the talent roster. One TNA wrestler has gone on record with his thoughts regarding her speech. Here is what he told Mike Aldren of the Wrestling Globe Newsletter: "I have no idea why Dixie wanted that to air. She sounded terrified. After the meeting there were a lot of guys rolling their eyes. This locker room isn't one big happy family as [Dixie] wants us to portray publicly. Everyone is divided over the idea of Hogan coming in, and not in a good way."
looks like the Hogan situation will either shake TNA for the better or worse, i dont think their will be an in between
The newest report is that all the IWC saying Hogan and Bischoff were in charge and answer only to Dixie's father are FALSE rumor.... Bischoff is more of the production role and Hogan is more of the seasoned veteran turned creative contributor type....Dixie still has final say.

basically theyre displaying their nerves and professional weakness because hogan's arriving and they're already mentally crumbling - before he's even walked in the door and said hello!
i can just imagine russo thinking how awesome it will be for ratings and what a memorable moving scene it would be in pro wrestling history. lol!

i've always found that when your employees are down and moral is low the best way to resolve things is for the boss to call everyone together and tell them 'i'm in charge, what i saw goes and if you don't like it then GTFO'. that should squash all issues and raise moral instantly...
not that i disagree with what she said, and maybe she met with certain guys individually to discuss the issues. but i really don't think 'do what i say or get out' is what the tna lockerroom needs right now to smooth things over.

thats one of those i'll believe it when i see it things...is hogan gonna job to samoa joe if dixie ask him too?? the agreement might be in place that dixie is in charge, but hogan doesn't have a good reputation of doing what he's told and not getting his way.
Nah it was legit

and this was put on TV why? Why not keep it behind close doors?
because russo thinks **** like this is brilliant.
he never got over the day he learned wrestling was a work. ever since, he's felt the need to come up with the most hokey, see through worked shoots imaginable, and now even writes to WON telling them he had nothing to do with it, when he clearly is behind the whole thing.
what an idiot he is.

I'm not sure whether it is a shoot or not, but I still think she is the boss, and see no reason for her to relinquish her power, nor do I see a reason for Hogan and Bischoff to try to take it. She is the money person. She is the business person. She is not wrestling minded, and has said it many times in the past. This is no secret. It is pretty common knowledge. Hogan has NOT come in as an in ring performer. THIS has also been said many times as well. He is there to help a product. I believe that. Do I believe he actually CAN help it or improve it? That remains to be seen, although Hogan is a pretty shrewd man and does have a wealth of wrestling knowledge. Bischoff knows how to work the phones, the board room, and knows how to promote and sell a product. I don't think Hogan is out to bring in his old cronies, since most of them are too beat up to wrestle anyway. I don't think he's out to steal the spotlight in the ring. He already HAS the spotlight. It's not going anywhere. I don't think he is going to try to mold anyone into the next Hogan. I think he really wants to try to help these guys out. We talk all the time about how a lot of wrestlers now a days are nothing but spot monkeys. I think Hogan wants to get these guys to tell a story. I think he wants to teach them how to perform. He may not have been the best in ring mat technician, but the man knew how to put someone over, even when he won. The man sold EVERYTHING..... well, until his comeback. LOL. But you know what I mean. What wrestler didn;t beat up Hogan for most of the match before his comeback? Here was this 6'8, 300 pound monster, and he was getting beat up every night. Sure he won, but he made everyone look like a million bucks, and they DEFINITELY got the rub after facing him, unlike HHH, who makes guys seem worthless after facing him. If Hogan could teach this to the TNA guys, and get them to tell "the story", I think we'll see the beginning of the next big era in Pro wrestling.
