Mickey Rourke plotting against Chris Jericho
According to a report by The Sun, Mickey Rourke says he would like to wrestle for World Wrestling Entertainment after being disallowed from competing at WrestleMania XXV earlier this year.
The Academy Award-nominated actor says in his new book, Wrestling With Demons, that a clause in his contract for the Iron Man 2 prevented him from taking part in a one-on-one match with Chris Jericho due to the possibility of injury, which would delay filming.
Rourke says he walked away from WrestleMania "disappointed" due to his limited involvement with the event, which saw him punch Jericho following the WWE star's handicap elimination match with Hall of Famers "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. Rourke says he wants to put his wrestling skills to the test after training for the lead role in The Wrestler.

if anyone can carry rourke to a decent match, its jericho... lets just hope that rourke's physical condition will be up to it... or at least make it a tag match...

apparently Rourke is saying he's in the best shape he's been in years and with the training he's had he wants to have a match ... he says his contract for the Ironman 2 movie kept him from signing an agreement to compete
from what he isn't saying, people think he wants to capture a real moment like the one felt in the movie but also he wants to be 'over' with the crowd as far as he wants to be the good guy and have the cheers and so with that, Jericho plays such a good bad guy and of course yea with his wrestling ability if he and Rourke work something out in advance I dont see how they could have a quote ' bad ' match

I'm sure that McMahon will jump at the chance to get a celebrity into his ring again.

Rourke will be the guest host on RAW.
Jericho will come out and talk about how Rourke is a failure.
Rourke, as acting GM, will make a match.
There will be a match.

if you would have told me a few years back that Chris Jericho would return to Wrestling, rise once again to the top of Sports Entertainment, and then lose to Mickey Rourke in a gimmick match.. I would have said you're crazy.. yet here we are

Maybe that's why Taker and Jericho are mixing it up now, incase Rourke can work a match..

I think this would be a pretty good match. When training for the Wrestler movie, Rourke did train as a pro wrestler trains. Now, training for a movie doesn;t compare to years of experience, but what I am saying is, he can take a bump, and can probably sell pretty decently. Plus, this is Chris Jericho he will be working with. If ANYONE in the current WWE can have a match wit5h a broomstick and make it look good, it is Jericho. I think this would be pretty cool. Granted, Jericho would probably job, but this is not competition. This is entertainment. Everyone knows wins and losses don't really matter. Jericho would get paid well to job. Besides, he'd probably job due to interference from the Undertaker, or some other star, so it would work out.

guess im the only one that thinks this would suck. He was good in the wrestler but i just dont care for him he does nothing for me. It would be a waste to see Jericho take him on much rather see Jericho take on Taker or Edge.

I wouldn't mind seeing this match, but I wouldn't want it at Wrestlemania. Jericho needs to be in a real match there.
This would be a good match for Raw IMO.

This. I agree with you guys. The biggest event in the WWE needs to be for the WWE guys. I'm cool with it at another PPV, but not Mania.
