Latest on Hogan, Russo, and TNA
Source: PWTorch.com Newsletter
Regarding Vince Russo?s future in TNA, everyone close to the situation is saying that nothing has been decided yet by the company. Russo is under the impression that nothing has changed regarding his status since he feels he?s been doing his job, but there are a number of people who feel his position is in jeopardy. Those same people also feel the Hogan and Bischoff team will establish their own infrastructure and put their own creative people in place, and the duo will be in TNA for the long haul.
If Russo goes, the assumption is that Ed Ferarra will also be out of a job. The only remaining member of the current creative staff would be Matt Conway, who is the youngest member of the staff and is someone Dixie Carter sees as a bright young mind.
Kevin Sullivan has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Vince Russo, as well as Kevin Nash although Nash says he has no interest in the role. Nash is currently working to solidify his acting career for once he finishes wrestling.
Rumors that Hogan and Bischoff negotiated directly with Dixie?s father, Bob Carter, who owns TNA?s parent company Panda Energy, are false. Multiple sources closes to the situation say Dixie was in charge of negotiations, which lasted approximately five months.

Can't see Russo lasting long with Hogan and Bischoff on board.

god just get russo out of there. he's an embarrassment to the industry.dixie will always be considered a clueless moron aslong as she's employing that idiot and his buddy ferrara.
come on hulkster, run the largest arms in the world wild on that dickhead.
even if hogan does run the company into the ground, atleast the show will be 5 times better whilst he does it, if he gets rid of russo.
as jim cornette said, russo is the only booker in wrestling who gets people under.
and which knob head suggested nash as booker!? **** me! i don't mind the guy but he clearly didnt have a clue in wcw, why start that **** again!

As bad as Russo & his sidekick are, there is only one thing worse than WCW's tv output in 1999/2000 under them & that is WCW'S tv output in 1994/1995 under Hogan & Bischoff.

i disagree jim, because hogan and bischoff had a relatively weak roster and put out a weak product. russo had an immense roster and managed to put out an idiotic, disgusting, insulting product.

Well no doubt the WCW roster of the late 1990's was incredible- but look at the talent roster WCW had when Hogan arrived, Flair, Steamboat, Austin, Pillman, Regal, Arn, Sting, Vader, Cactus, Orndorff, Patriot, Bagwell, Badd, Bossman, Dustin & HHH.
All those guys got buried or their stock decreased greatly- some of them left for pastures new, all due to Hogans ego.

yeah it's not a terrible roster by any means, albeit mostly made up of vets or rookies (id say only about 3 in their prime). and hogan/bisch certainly didn't get the best out of any of them.
