How to perform lying lateral raises

Hi everybody,

Since I want to try them to compare with the "classical" standing version, i just want to know if someone could explain me the best way to practice them (How to start the motion, on the side ? behind the back ? In front of the legs ?) ......

If you have good video links or pics that explain well this move it would be really nice also !

thank you by advance !

Greeting from France !
