This and the dog thread have led me to some rather disturbing conclusions about myself. I would kill a homeless person without question and without remorse, but there is no way I could kill my or anyone else's dog.
I guess I have no faith in humans, and I have trouble believing that humans are innately good. Every single person I can think of, even those I love, are seriously flawed, and motivated purely by greed/lust/pride/power. The world has evolved into a place where to be even moderately successful you have to sell your soul on at least one level. I honestly believe there are no "truly" good people. I'm not mad, and life has been "kind" to me, but the world is fuc*ed beyond repair at this point.
