Don't worry guys, it's normal for things to keep getting worse even though everything is fine and nothing even happened to begin with.

It's been double digits for awhile. You have to count those who have given up searching for jobs, as well. From what I understand, those do not count towards that percentage.

its normal for a drop like this to slow down before a change in direction. If the rate starts to go up faster than before, then it's getting even worse.

it's actually much much worse than that OP, a couple of months ago they discovered they had made a mistake in calculating the number unemployed and it was mor like 15% at the time.

Unemployment is a lagging indicator, we are at the start of the recovery.

I wont try to defend Obama because I will be negged like crazy, but just some info for you.
1) Unemployment has been going up before Obama.
2) There is a little lag period in economics that takes place after a policy is put in place..I don't know if you are aware of that.

You will continue to see stagnate employment for a couple of months before businesses believe the economy has gotten out of the ****ter.

He's working on it. However he's too busy enjoying the show as California's state democrats continue to weaken Californian businesses/employment and spend money they dont have on crap we dont need.

Agreed. Most of the companies that have laid off their workers are just pulling through their existing (built up) inventories. (i.e car companies)
Once all of the inventories are burned through, they HAVE to start making more products. This will lead to job growth. The companies just don't want to start hiring too soon. It's a guessing (risk) game of hiring before their inventores run out, or risking losing money because they ran out of inventory and people want to buy it, and go to a competitor to purchase it.
I really beleive that since they extended the $8k new home buyer prgram from 11/30/09 to 4/30/10, that this will help w/the existing home investory. Once we get the home selling/buying, the rest will follow.
