R ratings are for schmucks that feel insecure watching non-r rated material. Sands of time is the best game in the series, adding decapitations and blood did nothing to make the 2 sequels any better, in fact they sucked in comparison.
This movie looks good, violence for the sake of violence adds nothing to movie or game.

There's no way anyone would have made a rated R Prince of Persia movie. Disney is as good a studio for this as any. They made Pirates after all. Would you rather it be Fox?
Movie is still going to suck, but it would have sucked with any studio.
