Why aren't my photoshop brushes working?!??!?!

I dont knwo what the hell is going on....
I can't seem to draw with a brush on my photoshop...

i select a brush, then click and drag around on the image, yet the brush is not leaving anything on the image....

whats going?

LOL.

Ok OP , on the side of the screen, there should be a "Layers" thing, make sure you are on the correct layer. You might have to unlock layers too.

are you in the right mode? im a ps newb and sometime i was in the wrong mode and some things didnt work

got it to work....dont know what was wrong..
i think i was using History Paintbrush .....

This. also make sure your painting in a color that can be seen. if you have opacity or fill set very low on the layer you might not be able to see what your painting.

Honestly, there is so much stuff on photoshop that one click can totally screw you up. Chances are you'll have this problem using text also (unless you already changed some presets)
