My Will Is Hot Molten Lava
Hey All,
I have been around for a few years now. I used to journal a lot, but got away from it about a year ago. Funny how lack of accountability can slow your progress. I haven't reverted much, but I need to regain my fire. I plan to post daily on what I did to better myself. I am a runner, so I plan to run for cardio at least 6 days a week. I will lift at least 4 days a week. I've lost a lot of my cardio and lifting ability over the last year. I want it back.
My goals:
Lose about 5-10%BF
Run the local mini-marathon in May 2010
Run the local full marathon in Fall 2010
Be in amazing shape by Winter 2010

Ran 2 miles @ 6mph. Lifted upper body.
Accountability factor is already working.
Feels good, man.....

Ran 2.25 miles @ 6mph.
DOMS are setting in....ugggh. Eating Ibuprofen like skittles...lol. The first week of training is painful. It will get easier, though.

DOMS =  . I'm on day 3 of legs DOMS. This morning I applied for a handicap parking pass LOL.

LOL. Yeah, Saints and Steelers don't have much of a rivalry. See you in January....

Did dead's, squats and lunges. Ran 2 1\2 miles. Tomorrow should be painful.

Did upper body. Ran 2.25 miles.
Running is getting easier. I always hate the first week, starting over.

A short bout of sickness, some self-loathing and a committment to run a 4.5 mile Turkey Trot on Thursday has brought me back to the fold. This is exactly why I started to journal again......accountablity. It may take some time to be consistent again, but I am trying very hard.
Ran 3 miles today.
