different rep power in different sub-forums

I see guys who've gained a lot of reps for posting jailbait in the Misc and then go shoot off some nonsense in workout programs/exercise with the same high rep power. It gives them false authority, especially to people who come to the site actually seeking knowledge.

It's probably more trouble than it's worth, but I think you should have to earn separate rep powers for the different sub-forums.

It's been a flaw in the system for years. I posted my first few years here helping in the nutrition, exercise, and supplement forums and never had reps. Spend a little time in the misc and it goes through the roof.

Not possible. Honestly, many of the mods would like to see the entire system go away, but there is nothing we can do about it except try to control the worst abuses of the system.
