BB bench to db bench
I know people post these threads all the time, but I need help. I haven't been able to do bb bench due to not being able to hold my wrist in a supinated state without pain. I had a max bench of about 275 before the injury. All I've been able to do is db bench with my palms facing each other. I've gotten to about 90s for 5 reps this past week. Trying to move up next week.
What are some of your correlations with bb bench and db bench. Just list your bb bench compared to your db bench.

My BB bench, I usually rep on 85Kg x 9-11
Then DB bench (rarely) - I usually rep on 28-30Kg aim for around 10-12 reps
That's flat not incline

Thats odd DB's should hurt your wrist a bot more cuz you have to balence the weight more. I would take off untill your wrist is fully healed.

In the neutral grip, I feel no pain at all.

This is because DB bench has a similar hand placement but wrist placement is quite different from BB bench. On a DB your wrist tends to maintain a straight line with the handle cause alignment. With BB bench wrists tend to be bent backwards slightly which causes the pain you speak of. One way to fix this is wrap your wrists up tight so they can't break straight line form on BB bench.

Last time I db pressed (2months ago) I was repping 95's for 4 and was benching 200x4
Mine have always been pretty close together so I don't think it can really be relevant to your case if you used to bench 275. Btw how long ago was that?

Depends on your stabilizers. I can max BB bench at 245. I'm taking a couple weeks off of BB to work DB to get through a plateau. My first week was two weeks ago with the DB and I repped out 80's for two reps. Last week I repped out 85's for two reps and this 90's for two reps. I can't wait to get back on the bench but at the same time I'm enjoying the DB's.

OP my max bench is 270 on bb bench.. unfortunately my gym only goes up to 70 on DB but i can do 10-12 reps easy with those for strict form so im guessing i would do about 5 with the 90's... dont get down over it though u seem in good shape (no homo)

I'm just trying to do something until my wrist is fully healed. I plan on ordering some wrist wraps as well.
