Ok everyone, I need some advice!
I've plateaued for like the past 6 months LOL I would like to hear some opinions and advice on my situation, and Im hoping someone can shed some light on my situation b/c Im SUPER frustrated!
Background: Im clean, have been doing double cardio (30min AM, 40min PWO) for the past 3 months, I train with weights 4-5 days per week (for 11 years!)... so these two things are on point and consistent.
My diet is also always on point, and this is where I think I might be having issues.
Right now Im 5'9, 170lbs and my bodyfat might be 20% (Im guestimating)
Ive been trying to lose weight for MONTHS. My weight fluctuates between 170-173, never lower never higher.
My cals are at around 1600, 180g PRO, 75g CHO, 50g FAT
My diet - LOW days M,T,Th,F,Sa
1.5 scoops whey, 35g (dry) oats
8 whites, 35g (dry) oats, 2tbsp ground flax
3.5oz chicken, 4oz brown rice
tuna, veg, 2tsp UDOs 369 oil
tuna, veg
1 scoop whey, 1tbsp natural pbutter
HIGH days Wed, Sun
1.5 scoops whey, 70g (dry) oats
8 whites, 35g (dry) oats, 2tbsp ground flax
3.5oz chicken, 4oz brown rice
tuna, veg, 4oz brown rice
tuna, 35g (dry) oats
1 scoop whey, 1tbsp natural pbutter
Black coffee, no dairy, 6L at least of water...
My questions are these:
Since Ive plateaued, Im wondering if I should increase my calories on a weekly basis to get back to my base of 2000-2200 cals (12 x body weight) and then start cutting from there? Im hesitant to do this b/c I dont want to get fat, but frick! This is insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!
OR should I cut further at the point Im at? Im hesitant to do this because 1600 cals is already low for someone of my size/muscle. Plus I work full time and go to school part time, so I need some brain power.
Ive been eating 1600 cals for as long as I can remember, like Jan of this year? I dont ever cheat, but I dont look the way I should for all my determined work.
Ive had blood tests done- EVERYTHING and Im normal.
Suggestions?
