Batista's heel turn is one of the best I've seen
Not too much going on in the WWE right now has my attention....Orton feuding with a midcarder is beyond retarded......but this Batista/Mysterio feud has my attention. It was built up PERFECTLY. Not rushed one bit. These two were such good friends storyline wise that it makes this upcoming feud very interesting. Batista IMO is a 10x better heel then face.... In Evolution he was a monster heel, such a good one that people started cheering him and then Vince turned him face(which was a very very sucessful face turn I might add)....but Batista has been stale for a while now..... him turning heel and feuding with the faces is perfect and Batista seems like he just enjoys playing the heel more
His promo at the last PPV and then again on SD was amazing... "Rey, I'm gonna rip your head off" followed by dead silence and BAM! Then on SD Batista's "EDDIE IS DEAD!" was very well played out..
This feud is gonna be good... I just hope Batista goes over in a dominating fashion as he should then go on to have another feud with Taker this time as a heel.

why?? cena did it (miz, big show), HHH did it (legacy, shelton), undertakers done it tons of time, even hogan did. you cannot have the same guy in the main event all the time
do you not think kofi might get a rub from orton, orton would still be midcard but for his association with hhh and flair and matches with foley, taker, hogan etc
how are you ever going to build stars if midcarders fight midcarders all the time??

This.
I haven't liked him as a face in a long time ever since the feud with Triple H in 2005 although I did think he was on fire back then but this heel turn has got me to care about him and what he will do once again. Makes me want to watch SD! again. I been watching ECW's weekly show lately and that's about it. But I will be looking forward to seeing SD! and what Batista does as heel.

A few reasons why. For one I do not consider Big Show a midcarder.... he has had feuds with guys like Cena, Taker, Hogan, HHH, ect, ect.... you can't compare him to Kofi Frigging Kingston. As for the Miz, his feud with Cena was 3 or so weeks long and it sucked and I also feel the Miz has tons more potential then Kofi.
I am all for building new stars...I just do not see Kofi being one of them.

well who do you suggest they elevate?? Kofi's got the in-ring skills, the mic skills (which he displayed in the car-bashing segment), and he's over. Pushing him on Raw and Morrison on Smackdown is what they need.
So let's see, you hate Kofi and MVP, 2 great workers with loads of potential. Any trend there???

anyone feuding with orton after his long main event run gets an instant rub. so if the wwe are serious about giving someone new a chance, they need to pick a midcarder that's over. pull the trigger and see if they can handle th next level. kofi's over.
it's quite simple, wwe have made a great decision in putting orton with an over midcarder. it's up to kofi to take his opportunity.

1) I was live at Smackdown last week. The average wrestling fan hasn't figured out yet that Batista is a heel.
2) The only problem I have with Kofi is that it is going to end up the same way Cena-Miz ended. I'll be shocked if Kofi ever got a win on Orton. Even if he did, it won't matter.

Exactly. IMO Kofi needs to build himself up to a top card player. IMO the WWE are just taking a random plunge into the unknown. This feud has not been though out properly yet, and as someone said, Kofi Kingston cannot fukin feud with Randy, it's weird. Would have been so much better if he had feuded with Dibiase or Rhodes.
Batista has HUGE potential. You could tell that he LOVES the heel turn, he is just brutal inside out. I really want to see him be a very, very hated heel, comparable to Randy. I want to see him seriously hurt people, and maybe even have a match with some mid carder and job on him. like John Morrison or something, lol.
But I can't wait till he starts assaulting Ray randomly, lmao.

i should hope kofi doesn't beat orton! that'd be almost as ridiculous as my whey's comment!
kofi just needs to feud awhile and carry his own in a few matches. that's all the rub he needs.
cena did the same for miz and miz is currently enjoying the "over" peak of his career. he's so annoying he may well get a push that's way beyond his worth (but that's just modern wwe - confusing x pac heat with real heat).
it's going to be interesting to see how the company's main heel does with getting a face more over. kofi's popularity is genuine. people seem to like the guy. after a few close, hard fought losses to orton, kofi could be elevated several notches in the eyes of fans.

The problem is that either Kofi wins or Orton wins. If Orton wins, then that proves nothing except that Kofi isn't on the main event level yet. If Kofi wins, it won't matter, because Legacy beat DX and now Legacy are midcarders again. So there is no point to this feud unless they let Kofi beat Orton and then let Kofi stay in the main event picture. Otherwise, they are just giving Orton something to do and burying Kofi in the process.

Um, no. Cena did not help The Miz get over. The Miz got over in spite of that feud. Cena beat The Miz several times, including a "The Miz leaves Raw match." They couldn't even let The Miz score the pin in a match where EIGHT LUMBERJACKS JUMPED CENA! It was three more months of The Miz basically doing nothing. Then The Miz got in the US title hunt, he chased forever while no fans cared, then he won the title and started rubbing it in people's faces, and THAT'S when The Miz got over.

one of the best heel turns? Not in my opinion, but it will definitely shake up his boring character. He's going to essentially be the same as a heel as he is a face, cocky, arrogant, and dominating his opponents. Best heel turns in my opinion, especially in recent memory, were jericho's (#1 for me), and CM punks.

I dont know about that. Fueding with cena got miz mainstream exposure. He was a much "better" (more hated) heel after his cena fued. People actually knew who the hell he was, and alot of people liked his promos on cena. After his fued with cena, his character changed 180 and he's now a legit midcarder with the US belt. I like him alot now (no homo).
As for kofi and orton, its easier for a midcard face to do better against a top card heel, then a midcard heel against a top face. Kofi has a better chance agaisnt orton then miz did against cena. Orton will probably use legacy alot, although I can see MVP/Henry fueding with legacy while kofi takes care of orton.

Move up MVP, Jack Swagger, etc.
In SVR 2010 i made up a little storyline thing of Swagger vs Cena in a best of 5(like the Booker T/Benoit thing in WCW)

The character Batista needs to stay a heel IMO, he is huge, a monster heel is what he needs to always be.

Probably not one of the best heel turns I've seen but it's definitely one of the funniest.
It was like a retard got told he couldn't have any sugar, threw a sh*t-fit and beat up the nearest midget he could find.
