Dreaming of ex-gf
Question for the RH and Freuds within:
In like the past week, I've had at least 4 vivid dreams that involve my ex-gf (as of a couple months ago). I am in them too, and am happy in the dreams. The thing is, the activities/scenery in the dreams are all brand new, like places I've NEVER seen before, let alone when we were a couple. We are talking, laughing, having fun (but we don't IRL).
Nothings going on with the ex IRL, but yea, her thought crosses my mind once in a while. Esp. when I'm with other girls.
Looking for perspective if anyone can help. Not really looking for a full psycho-analysis of this, just found it strange and thought I'd share.
What's up with this? Does this just mean I'm not over her?

well.
Ones brain and mind is non-explainable sometimes and I dream weird stuff too, however, that does not mean it actually means something. I broke up with my girlfriend a month ago or so, and the weeks after I constantly dreamed about her. Good and bad dreams.
So I don't think you should overanalyze this stuff tbh. Each time I hooked up with her again it turned out bad and I am together with her again now, and it is ****ed up.

most of the time your brain likes to make up crazy stories that never come true...but sometimes they invent stories up that are true...take me for example:
- 1st month of getting involved with this girl
- dreamed that ex was cheating (3 separate dreams)
- i had no evidence or any hint of her cheating
- find out 6 months later that she was a cheating liar / total whore since day 1
I learned my lesson, sometimes you just gotta listen to your dreams
overall, your dream could go both ways....but most likely **** wont happen again with the ex and end well

Oh yeah. I'm not trying to find a hidden answer, just was looking for any feedback/experience with this.
But, you just think that it's just another dream?

I still have dreams about ex's. If you are in a relationship, you're constantly using experience with past gf's to guide you in what signs to look for, and what not to do. So it's a given that they'll be in your dreams from time to time, because dreams are what your mind uses to figure out problems.

To be honest, it's kind of scary that a guy would trust his dreams like that. This was a coincidence. If you have a dream about a girl cheating on you, and it bothers you, you should talk about it, but not assume it's true. That kind of thinking can backfire really bad.
