Had my first true LUCID dream today
I skipped sleep on Wednesday to work on a project due Thursday. i then went to school for 6 hours, went back home and slept that night. My dream was very vivid and life-like. It was the most vivid dream i ever had. Ive now experienced a lucid dream, and sleep paralysis.
if anyone is interested in the details before my lucid dream. I crammed alot of info between sleep intervals, this might have had an effect. I also woke up before dawn to use the bathroom, i think i had the dream several hours after going to bed as i woke up late.

i dunno really.....
when im dreaming, im like "hey im dreaming!! fuk yea!" and do as i please....
sometimes when im dreaming im not 100% sure if im dreaming, but always tell yourself, if you question yourself if your dreaming or not, then it a dream.

Did you see a shadowy figure resembling an old woman drapped in black standing over you, looking at you? That's a common one with sleep paralysis.

I've had that lol.
An old woman (I imagined, it was to dark to tell) stood at the foot of my bed and had a bat in her hand. She hit my feet with it and this shock wave went slowly up my legs & body till it hit my head.

I was asleep on my stomach and i was looking to my right, i woke up suddenly with a clear mind and realized i couldnt move, i couldnt breathe either but i could open my mouth. I was like that for 10 seconds or so and tried to suck in some air which i had trouble doing. Then it went away and i was normal. I didnt see anything and it wasnt uncomfortable, it was an interesting experience but i wouldn't want to have another one.
actually i think my mouth was already open, my eyes were open

I've only had one and it addressed problems affecting me. In it I was able to fly...with and without teh wings, and I got to destroy/save cities with a beam I would eject from my chest as I flew over targets. That's the cliffs; point is I flew

So can guys who sleep on their stomach have sleep paralysis too? Usually the descriptions are "i was lying on my back and couldnt move", FUUUU hope not, sleep paralysis sounds like one of the most disturbing experiences you can have.

It was pretty weird. I was on patrol (strong submariner) and hadn't slept for over 30 hours. I finally got a chance to sleep without being found for about 3 hours. **** gets real every now and again so I was hoping a drill or other emergency wouldn't cut my scam nap down. As soon as I was horizontal my body was flooded with good vibes. I knew without a doubt that nothing would disturb me and my dream started as if prompted. I also knew that I couldn't move despite trying, but didn't really care. When I woke up I was in a state of complete relaxation and was completely refreshed for at least 12 more hours, felt real good man.

Yes you can get in if you sleep on your stomach, it doesn't matter.
has anyone had a dream where your punches are slow? i hear those are common
In alot of my dreams, there are rails around a structure. I dont know why but i find it comforting in my dreams when i find them

There are a few things you can do that will make you have more, and better lucid dreams. ZMA is great for it. Better them melatonin, or even better use them both at the same time.
It takes about a week of taking the ZMA for it to really start working for me, but once it does, it is amazing.
Keeping a dream diary will help you to start remembering your dreams. You write down as much as you can remember from your dreams as soon as you wake up, while it's still fresh in your memory. Somehow this trains your mind to pick up on familiar, or reoccurring things in your dreams that will tip off your unconscious mind that you are dreaming.
There are a few other tricks as well. Throughout the day pull on one of your fingers. Try to do it every 15 minutes. What will eventually happen is that you will do it while you are dreaming, and your finger will stretch out. This alerts your mind that you are dreaming. Try to stay calm so you remain in the dream.
2 tricks that people use to stay in the lucid dream are, you can rub your hands together in the dream, or spin around quickly in the dream. Do this if you start to feel like you are slipping away from the dream.

It is not the vividness. As long as you are aware you are dreaming then it is lucid.

Some people have a nack for it. Generally the more introverted types as their inner life is more intense than their outer life. I lucid dream almost nightly though very extroverted in outward life I pay attention to my dreams like an introvert. That is one of the keys to lucid dreaming!

i get the slow/weak punches dreams all the time. when im fighting someone i always win but i can have them pinned down raining punches on them but the laugh it off and it doesn't hurt them. i remember in a recent dream i was trying my best to knock someone out getting free punches at them but couldn't do it. so weird
