    5-10 pushups a day for a month!

    Silly Question i really dont wanna over work my self but i just wanted some opinions on this!

    If i do 5-10 pushups everyday for 1 month will see any noticeable results on my arms?

    Also how bout if i do 20-30 Crunches for a month would i see any noticeable results on my stomach?

    Not at all. You won't gain anything besides maybe a bit of strength.

    Just take up weight lifting. It's a great hobby. Pushups ain't gonna give you mass. Abs are developed with a proper diet.

    first i suggest switching your rolling backpack to a real backpack. Probably see better results...cause you know you gotta pick it up a few times a day now...build that serious muscle.

    for my chest im bored of a regular workout for the past 2-3 weeks ive been doing this new thing i developed and thought it was preatty fun...

    i bought this 4 heavy resistance rubber bands kinda like the palates ones and i put 155-185 on the bar and tie 2 of the rubber bands extended really nice and tight on each side to the bottom bars of my bench and i bench the weight plus the 2 bands it makes for a weird feeling of when ur at a full extension its sooooo hard to push up im not sure how many pounds the bands are generating but its alottt... anyways i do like 15-20 sets really fast, then i drop to the floor and kill it off with 15-20 pushups i do 10 sets of that... so basicly 20 sets 10 bench 10 pushups... the pump i get is ridiculous

    By results, if you mean will you get huge? No, you won't get absolutely huge like half the guys on here who have those wondrous supplements (go supplements!) and pump iron till they can hardly talk or their veins bulge in their arms.

    But yes, you can get noticeable results with push ups and sit ups. However, 5-10 and 30 a day? You won't reach that stage. Never judge the change in yourself, you will see it a lot less than others will - so don't fret, let someone else judge you.

    Results will not come straight away - and try to do more repetitions and more sets. My suggestion is to build up the amount of push ups you can do a day. Personally, I'd only be happy if I increased by 1 push up a day (an ideal bloody world that'd be) but alot of the time you will only increase by 1/2 a week. Which is a fair amount still, try to aim for the big increases as much as possible - daily increases would be absolutely perfect.

    So here's your plan if you want to do this:
    1) Find out what your current max number of reps that you can do for three sets is.
    2) Do one complete load (3 sets) first thing in the morning after you wake up.
    3) Do one complete load (3 sets) last thing before you goto sleep.
    4) Try to increase this daily, if not - see if you can make increases every 2/3 days, if not then try every week.

    Oh yeah, do be respectful to your body. You do not have to overwork it. I ofcourse in that little section missed out the fact that you MAY need a day's rest in between to maximise effects.

    For sit ups. Do ab crunches and oblique crunches. Somebody here will say 'you're an idiot' to me, purely because of what I'm going to say next. Sit ups can ruin your lower back. With crunches - your shoulders only leave the floor by 3-4 inches and your lower back stays on the floor the whole time. You will probably find you can do more crunches than you can sit ups. If you don't already know, oblique crunches just add sidewards movement.

    So if you go this way then follow this:

    (wow same as the push ups believe it or not)

    Remember - one oblique 'crunch' is the movement of your body up to one side and then back down before doing it to the other side. Keep that in mind as you go for it.

    Oh yeah - if possible and if you want rest periods for each muscle to grow. Do sit ups one day and push ups the next, and so on and so on. This way you should easily get the right 'feel' for everything if you choose to go pump some iron at the gym.

    Now for more bull**** baffles brains. You could actually get a stronger core and stomach, by wearing heavy bags when you go walking about or running. I'll give you an explanation as to why - if you're still in school, wear a rucksack.
    To keep you balanced and stop you toppling over whilst wearing the rucksack, your stomach tends to tense slightly, even if it is unnoticed by you. This causes some stress on your stomach muscles and fibres, the wear and tear of everyday life.


    These guys are telling you there will be no real gains. They couldn't be any more wrong. How do cats and dogs manage to keep a level of muscle in their body, infact, how do all animals manage to do it? They don't goto the gym pumping iron. Why? Because it's not the absolute natural way of gaining muscle - it's not how we were first going to ever gain muscle. We were designed for nature life from the very beginning (although, being the smart humans that we are, we saw flaws in these plans and built cities and created things nothing could dream of - including weights for exercise). If you ran assault courses, did push ups, crunches, tricep dips, pull/chin ups, planks you can get muscle and keep it toned.
