for me, it's dorian yates, hands down. his lats are just enormous when viewed from the front.

I'd say Ronnie has the best, with Yates very close. I also like Heath's for some reason. He doesn't necessarily "kill" the pose, he just looks so solid.

Its down to Ronnie and Dorian with this pose. I like to actually see the lats and on some Ronnie pics you can and he looks awsome. Dorian's lat spread does it for me though pretty impressive.

Both look good I prefer Dorian as well. His chest holds a better shape in this pose and his lats just seem to pop. Also dorian has calves that he can and does show off in this pose. Overall he has just the right structure to own this pose.Originally Posted by lancs_hotpot

I love both Ronnie and Dorian, there's no doubt that they're the top 2! I'd say Ronnie's upper looks a tad better however whereas Dorian's looks good but more complete due to good calves so, so more balanced.

good thread. ive never really been able to judge who has the best lat spread for some reason, dorian always stood out to me but apart from that i cant really tell who shines in that pose. maybe its because i dont really understand the criteria that pose is judged on

Cant see the big deal with Phil's there. Just looks like any other lat spread to me. It doesnt stand out nearly as much as the good shots of Ronnie or any shot of Dorian.
Dorian wins for me, but i think its just a matter of preferance between him and Ronnie.

I guess i am just an old school guy but first person in my mind was Haney he wasn't as much of a mass monster but as far as pleasing to the eye Haney's looks the best IMHO. although looking at those Yates pictures makes me want to go crush my back in the morning...
