Red Lobster's Endless Shrimp not off-limits
Who thinks that they can't eat this? You may just be surprised.
I'm going tonight and purposely skipped my M4 and will skip my M6 (and therefore 600 calories that I normally eat in addition to M1, M2, M3, and M5) so that I don't feel guilty at Red Lobster for M5.
Basically for those of you who haven't been before, you get to select anything (and as much as you want) of the following:
1. Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp (new) served over wild rice pilaf.
2. Cajun Shrimp tossed with spicy cajun butter sauce and served over wild rice pilaf.
3. Garlic Shrimp Scampi
4. Hand-Breaded Shrimp
5. Coconut Shrimp Bites
Here is a link for the basic nutritional info for the endless shrimp
http://www.redlobster.com/health/nutrition/specials.asp
Or you can download the entire nutritional data here
http://www.redlobster.com/health/nut...tion_Facts.pdf )
I have done the Endless SHrimp many times before and know how much I can eat, and usually it is around 45- 60 pieces of shrimp, depending on the sides that I eat and how hungry I am. I once had 75 shrimp.
I usually get 2 servings (15 shrimp per serving) of Garlic Shrimp Scampi (170 calories each)
and then I get a serving of Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp which adds 160 calories for the 15 shrimp.
So, that total so far is 45 shrimp and only 500 calories. Now, the Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp is served over wild rice pilaf, and the rice obviously provides carbs, and more calories but you can substitute out if you prefer, but if you get the rice it adds 180 calories and 34 carbs. You can just as easily select the broccoli for only 45 calories if you prefer.
So, I will be up to 680 calories for 45 shrimp and rice. I will eat the salad as my appetizer and the website says it is 90 calories and 13 grams of carbs, but I just don't see how as I don't eat the croutons, and little if any dressing (but they list the dressings separate so I am not sure about the salad stats).
If I add some more servings of the endless shrimp, it really doesn't add many calories.
The biggest surprise was the yummy cheddar biscuits. These things are really yummy and I had assumed way off the charts, but each one "only" has 150 calories (16 g carbs, 8 grams fat). As you can see, it really is all about making good choices and limiting your quantities. As an example, I can choose to only get the Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp and (other than the sodium) I really shave off the fat and carbs from some of the other shrimp choices.
Anyone else fit this deal into your nutrition?

The last thing on my mind with all-you-can-eat is counting calories. Put the iPhone calorie app down and enjoy your meal.

I have seen those facts before and it is really hard for me to believe that some of that stuff is SO low in calories. 10 shrimp soaked in garlic butter = 130 calories? I don't know about that... Maybe they are assuming you won't use the leftover garlic butter to spread on the delicious biscuits. Lol.
God I love that place....

Don't mean to hijack, but Boston Market has a $1 meal promotion going on. 1/4 white chicken or 3-piece dark chicken with mashed potatoes and cornbread just for a dollar. They have the coupon on their website (very slow right now). Expires November 1st. Do it!

I just went there the other day and the last thing I was doing was counting calories. Total shrimp count: 140, baked potato, salad, three biscuits and 6 sweet teas.

I hit 95 shrimp and felt full so I stopped. It was a new high for me, and I am sure that I could go higher if I wanted to stuff them in and maybe if I skipped the biscuit and rice, but I enjoyed myself and may go again before Nov 9. Too bad no Boston Markets nearby.

I went to this twice already in the past 2 months. It's excellent.
Great breakdown by the OP but like others said, that was the least of my worries. The coconut shrimp are pure money but of course they are the worst for you. So I only went with a few orders of those and the rest were all Tereyaki.

I never eat the rice, thats what they want you to do when they put the shrimp on it. After all the trips the waitress made, I thought she would've figured out that I wasnt eating it. I took care of my 140 shrimp then I still had room so I ate the potato and the three biscuits. I'm definitely going to go one more time to see if I can beat that.
