Sudden Loss of power? Help!
Hello,
I started a new workout routine 3 ? 4 weeks ago ? I started doing a following upper body circuit twice a week (plus 1 leg workout also heavy & twice cardio)
3 circuits x 5 reps
2 circuits x 8 reps
1 circuit x 10 reps
All was going fine, I started lifting heavier than ever before and saw improvements from one workout to another!
But now I kind of hit the wall and find myself without energy. I don?t know why that is ? I am suspecting that the fact that I work out very early in the morning has sth to do with it? I usually have a coffee and a slice of toast with cottage cheese 30 min before but maybe that?s not enough time for the energy to be released to muscles?
Please help!

Everyones body reacts different to the type of food and how much food they need in the mornings before a workout. Have you tried switching it up? Maybe try a protein shake in the morning also??? What are you eating through out the day, that also determines how much energy you'll have, and what kind of gains in the gym.

If you are lifting heavy, you need to ensure you are eating enough. That doesn't just mean pre-workout. You need to ensure you are eating enough calories every day or you will see a decrease in strength.

Are you eating enough throughout the day? because you lift 1st thing, like I do you need to be sure you eat enough the day before. I even eat a protein ff ricotta mix right before I go to bed. Also, maybe TOM?? I get wicked tired about 5 days before I get mine.

What's your daily calories and macro breakdown look like?
Low energy usually falls back on healthy fats being too low...

This is a good first guess but would also like to ask how long have you been working out without a rest week or break? Overtraining will also give you a "low energy" feeling.

Could be. But she's doing upper body 2x and legs 1x a week. That doesn't seem to fall into the "overtraining" category. I think the term is thrown around a lot on this board and most people don't fall into an "overtraining" status...
