    Here a recent thread about it, this is ongoing depute.

    Maybe my situation applies for yours, life is unpredictable.

    I eat brown rice for vitamins/minerals on a cut (calorie restriction) and white rice on a bulk, because its easier to cook and your other meals could cover the vitamin needs.

    This. I accidentally bought 2 pound bag of white rice. Been eating it everyday and am just about to run out.

    It doesn't matter, as long as your diet is full of veggies and other sources of nutrient-dense foods. And it definitely won't make a difference if you eat it only from time to time.

    there's hardly a difference in brown and white rice. It's how much you eat that makes the difference.

    Brown= 1-2g more of fiber, complex carb, preferrably better by some,

    white-less than 1g fiber, carb depends on type of rice (long or medium), some say it is the same..

    to me i like brown because it isnt as dry as white....i tend to overload with hot sauce with white...

    Look into QUinoa...that is a good substitute for rice.
    QUinoa=complete protein with high fiber

    Apart from the vitamin content being higher in brown rice there is no real difference. Some might think brown rice is more suitable for cutting/diet since its GI is lower, but once the carb is eaten with protein and not on empty stomach the GI is pretty irrelevant. Go with whatever you prefer. If I am to eat rice I choose jasmine rice. Damn, that thing tastes so great..
