Need help with madcow's 5x5 spreadsheet

I downloaded the spreadsheet and microsoft excel viewer but I can't edit anything in the yellow box's.

If I click on file -> open for editing i get the error msg " cannot find any version of microsoft excel to open this file for editing"

if i right click the yellow box nothing happens at all.

how am i supposed to edit the weights? and can this be changed to kg instead of lb? would make it alot easier for me.

It could be that Microsoft Excel Viewer only allows you to view Microsoft Excel files, but not edit them. I have no problem editing the yellow area.

Got it working with OpenOffice thanks.. seems to work with kg instead of lb too which is good.

My gym is fairly new and the lowest weight they have is 5kg plates. Do you think buying 5x 1kg plates will allow me to do this program properly?

If you buy 4 1kg plates you'll do well. Otherwise, you're going to have to make very big weight jumps every week and you will stall out fast.
