ta, its nice to boost the ego once in awhile the last couple sessions had been feeling flat, where bouts in edin you going what you down for.
people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"
if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

sorta took a leaf out of scott's book and just did what i felt like only really wanted to check my 1RM on my push press for next year. so i inenvertly ended up giving my forearms a good blast keeping hold of the bar was the main problem for the shrugs and the hang cleans put them through the ringer aswell.
think this will prob be my last workout of the year apart from maybe a wee beach wieghts sesh on the 30th just to keep me ticking over and burn off sum xmas fat. also actually happy with that for once.

i think ill call this a reload day/christmas dust off, could definatley feel the lack of exercise so i'm happy with a good lite session. however i'm not to pleased about the 3kg gain in wieght hopefully i added some muscle as i do feel like i look bigger but most of it will be fat. quads got fried on the bike and my hamstrings are still sore.

naw, i took a break we were meant to have training on the 22 and 29th but i doubt if anyone went, i never. plus with our game on the 19th being cancled i pretty much took the time off. was kinda hoping the few niggles i had would recover but they never and my bad back is back cos i stoped doing my streching so january's going to be a painfull month but there wont be many games on this month so i can see myself doing ALOT of extra fitness. need to lose this fat ive put back on.

decent enough session wieght generally felt light but i think thats the point also changed my rowing style to having a more straight back about 45degree instead of the 90degree i used to do.
tuseday 5/1/10
also had some interesting rugby training in the snow 2nte some light skills drills bit of touch and a 7min fitness drill was ok considering the weather.
edit:just realised i should be push pressing what i did for bench.

we usualy do indoor at the high school but it was shut yesterday, i think we're back to indoor on thursday hopefully we'll play basketball or something. i'm thinking about making jan a mini preseason style month. which will prob mean more fitness on a friday night.

really good 'short' sharp workout, would of maybe liked a bit more but i have a sore elbow but it never really stoped me doing much. push presses felt good and really explosive. grip was horrible for deadlifts had to use straps from 125 up

what none at all. i'm kinda not bothered about this season, i'm more focused about getting myself in better shape for next plus there's also the fact preseason will be really short again. if i'm correctly we're counting this week 6games behind.

quite a good session the cardio was really hard and that combined with the core work made me nearly sick. mentally wossed out on the hang cleans and was posibly a bit to ambitious bit the 70's felt easy technique isnt flawless but it never is. pull ups where just done through out the workout a couple sets here and there.

my main problem is keeping my heels down and then after that i'm not to sure what i shud be doing with my knees as most of the time they flair out with my feet. i think these are the main problems why i find it difficult to 'get under' the bar. which again is why i think i have a poor 'flick' stage of the full clean which is why i'm working on hang cleans at the mo.

definatley a pain i think i allways find describing pain hard, i think it was more of a shooting tingling pain. one thing i did notice that it wasn't as bad if i lent forward and did more chest focused dips. it felt fine on wed as well. think i'm gona have to wear pads all the time now at training.
you're game on 2day/2moro. mines is off again aparently the 'pitches' are two muddy so hopefully accies game will be on and ill go watch them.

i get what you mean with dips i just love doing them, i also hear you with the rugby i really can't be bothered with trinity at the mo but its just the club(mainly training) and not the rugby so ill keep at it and start getting other things outside rugby in order.
