    You don't have a specific question or something you're stuck on... you just want people to simply do your entire sheet of homework for you? And then threaten negs if they get them wrong? This can't be serious, get out of here with that.

    k bro, let me take you through this step by step:
    1. tan2x = sin2x/cos2x by definition
    2. sin2x = 2sinxcosx and cos2x= 2(cos(^2)x)-1 by double angle
    3. tan2x = 2sinxcosx/(2(cos(^2)x)-1) = -b/a ... just plugging in step 2 into the result of step 1
    4. 2asinxcosx = -2b(cos(^2)x)-b by cross multiplying
    5. sinxcosx = (-b/a)(cos(^2)x)-(b/2a) by dividing by 2a

    now that you have a formula, check your bounds, i.e. plug in pi/2 and pi

    6. (-b/a)(cos(^2)x)-(b/2a) at pi/2 = 0-(b/2a) = -b/2a since cos(pi/2) is 0.
    7. (-b/a)(cos(^2)x)-(b/2a) at pi = (-b/a)-(b/2a) = -3b/2a since cos(pi) = -1, so cos(^2)pi = -1*-1 = 1

    To conclude, 0<=sinxcosx<=(-3b/2a)

    I'm not sure if this is what your teacher wants, but I think it is...

    Studying for a test tomorrow...And I have a question. I'm doing a problem to find critical values of f(x)=tanx and I got the derivative; f'(x)=sec^2x So If i set that to zero what would the critical values be?

    A critical point is either where the derivative equals zero or where the function can't be differentiated. sec^2x = 1/cos^2x which never equals 0. But the function does not exist when the denominator equals 0 so it obviously can't be differentiated there. So the critical points are basically when cos^2x = 0

    cos^2x = 0 --> cosx = 0 --> x = n*pi/2 where n is an odd integer e.g. 1,3,5,7,9,...

    I survived and actually ended up liking the class by having a good teacher. AP US history isn't my thing though, it was boring as hell. As for the interview, I have no idea, history isn't my strongest, I'm a math person.

    1) When a pendulum 0.5m long swings back and forth, its angular displacement Ɵ from rest position, in radians is given by Ɵ=1/4sin((pi/2)t), where t is the time, in seconds. At what time(s) during the first 4 s is the pendulum displaced 1 cm vertically above its rest position? (assume the pendulum is at its rest position at 0).

    The pendulum is .5m long so you wanna figure out how many radians you need to move it in order to raise its height by 1cm or .01m You can draw a right triangle with a hypotenuse of .5 and a vertical leg of .49, what you get is the arccosine of .49/.5 which is about .2 radians.

    Now let's look at your given function of Ɵ=1/4sin((pi/2)t) we know theta is .2 so:

    .2 = .25sin(pi/2*t) We wanna solve for t but let's keep in mind sin is a cyclic function, so t will have multiple answers to give a theta of .2 (we want every answer within the first 4 seconds).

    .2 = .25sin(pi/2*t) --> .8 = sin(pi/2 *t) ; arcsine .8 to get: .9273 = pi/2 *t --> t= .59 seconds

    If we plug .59 seconds in as t we'll get sin(.92677) which is .8 so need every value of x where sin(.92677+2npi) where n is an integer.

    The best way to do that may just be to keep finding answers for .92677+2npi then setting them equal to pi/2 *t solving for t and stopping once t passes 4 seconds. Try it out.

    Some solvents are: Acetic acid, Acetone, benzene, chloroform, MTBE, Hexane, Octane, Toluene, Water

    In an easier way, what causes interference in UV-Vi spectroscopy?

    Please show all work.

    Q1. A 75 kg skydiver falls at a terminal velocity (220 km/h) before pulling the chute. If she slows to 25 km/g in 3.8 s, determine the average force of air friction that acts on her during her deceleration.

    Q2a. A 1350 kg crash test car strikes a cement wall at 24.0 m/s and bounces back at 8.0 m/s. If it is in contact with the wall for 0.90 s, what force did the wall exert on the car?

    Q2b. If the same car had no crumple zones, then it would be in contact with the wall for 0.080 s. What force would the wall exert in this case?

    I have a physics test tomorrow. If you could help me solve these problems, I would be so thankful.

    F=ma. you have a change in velocity over time-> acceleration, and you have a mass.

    Q2a. A 1350 kg crash test car strikes a cement wall at 24.0 m/s and bounces back at 8.0 m/s. If it is in contact with the wall for 0.90 s, what force did the wall exert on the car?

    F=(change in momentum)/(change in time) from the definition of impulse: F*delta(t)=delta(p)

    your momentum is simply mass*velocity(note that that the velocity is in the negative direction when it bounces back). so calculate the change in momentum over the time of contact

    Q2b. If the same car had no crumple zones, then it would be in contact with the wall for 0.080 s. What force would the wall exert in this case?

    same as above: just plug in the new delta(t)

    I have a physics test tomorrow. If you could help me solve these problems, I would be so thankful.
