average Division 3 size for FB/RB?
im a senior in highschool who didnt get to play this year for my own dumb ass reasons. Well I have always wanted to run the ball but never have been able to, I played offensive guard for the last two years and recieve my sophomore year. im 5'10" 180lbs or so and run about a 5.2, can someone tell me what the average stats for a fullback would be in a D3 school that has only had 2 years of football or so? they are fairly new.
I was hoping I could get to
5'10" 220
4.9-5.0 40?
oh im hispanic if it matters.

You may be too slow for a RB. What about linebacker?

5.2 is lineman brah. Even LB's need to be under 5.0, most run around the 4.6 area.

TBH OP your not fast enough to be a RB. Unless you got your 40 down. But for FB Your gonna want to work on speed an agility this off-season. If you want I can send you a speed agility workout. Just an FYI as a fullback you will not run the ball that often.

sproles 5'5.5" 185 roster reads 5'6
Plenty of other manlet pro NFL players as well around 5'7
40 is very important and you want a sub 4.6 unless you're trying to be a powerback

DIII teams are only slightly better than a decent high school team. A linebacker running a 4.6 40 in DIII would be unstoppable.

really depends which D3 school youre looking at. All the good ones are in the northeast (save mount union and UW-W) and comparing them to a decent hs is an insult.

well I was planning on getting my 40 time down a lot lol, and no not a shredded 220, I figured 5'10" 215-220lbs with a 4.8-4.9 would be decent for a ****ty d3 school that has my major I just wanna play football and would like to play FB
since I have experience with blocking since I played guard.

Id like the speed agility workout, ill try out for RB/FB I have always been pretty slow, I might even run a 5.3 but I figure if I work on my technique I could get it down to 5.1 plus some speed training maybe a 4.9 or 4.8.

\4.8-4.9 yes you can play. Was at a practice watchin D-3 run 40's the "super fast" people run 4.6, most run like a 4.8

THIS. I play division 3 ball and the main thing is to get some size on you as well as work on your 40 time. Basically eat everything you see. Lift everything you see and do some wind sprints HIIT style.

I wouldnt say theyre garbage, sure they are not nearly as good as DI or DII, but comparing them to a decent high school team is an overexaggeration. Those guys do serious work too.

You're not really big/strong/fast enough to play even at a D3 level dude unless you have some extremely good blocking or other skill I can't see you having a chance...
You need to do some serious work this year if you wanna have a chance.

Hey man im not one for putting down peoples hopes and aspirations but coming from someone who played at a top ten D2 school, you dont have the size nor the SPEED for the position.
Speed kills and 5.2 is offesive lineman speed and a slow one at that so yea unless you are strong as an OX and have some legit skills you might want to seek another sport.
By all means if you think you can do it try out but you might look like a fool. But who really gives a ish what misc says. walk on and try out. make the team; good for you, dont; at least you tried. my 2 cents
