I haven't been posting as much for a while as many of you have noticed. I've had some family related matters take hold of my life for the time being. Some of you are aware of the situation involving my twin brother being brutally murdered in 2004. Long story short; the man responsible was convicted of murder in 2005 and sentenced to 30 years in state prison with no parole. He appealed his sentence after only 10 months in prison and due to an error in the court system missing a deadline to file case related paperwork he was set free and awarded a new trial. Here we are in 2009 and we're just now being awarded a new trial for this man that shot my defenseless brother 4 times from close range. I've sat in court for 5 straight days hearing lies and belittling of my brother. All testimony from both state and defense have concluded. Monday morning will be closing arguments and jury deliberation. I'm praying for the sake of my family and myself that the jury will see through the lies and award ANOTHER guilty verdict. Please keep me in your thoughts as this has been a horrible week of reliving a time that turned my world upside down.

your support really does do more than you think. I don't view them as empty message board posts, and I thank you for that. I will inform everyone of the outcome regardless of the jury's decision.

I have a twin brother and am 27. Probably the only thread on this site that has ever affected me on a personal level while reading, and am at a loss of words, but had to post.

you don't need to say anything. My bother was 7 minutes older than me. He was literally half of me. He still is.

You are in my prayers. My father was killed after an argument. The guy ran him over as he crossed the street. Unfortunatly the justice system let him go. Being a Christian I believe in bible teaching therfore I had to let how I feel ~the rage~vengeance~ go. I had to pray constantly and read Romans 12:17-21 frequently to keep myself from exacting justice myself especially since I am aware of perps address. Keep your mind busy in upbuilding things and Positive thoughts and actions. Rage , negative thinking, stress very poisonous to our mindset and body. From experience I would abstain from alcohol/marijuana jus sayin.

One of the best posts I've read on this site in all my years here, and goes 110% of how a Christian is suppose to act.

I believe Psalms 34-38 (or may be 35-38, have to look it up) also talk about anger and rage.

I hope all goes well. I can't imagine what it would feel like to go through this. I lost my brother as well, but it was due to murder.
