    problem with dips, help please

Ok I have noticed since I have simplified my workout routine, and added in straight leg, chair dips, it really hurts my rt shoulder. What other exercises could I do that has the benefits of dips, but easier on the shoulder.

It's not exactly similar but will more isolate the triceps in a similar fashion. Close grip pushups with your elbows along your sides. Also, can you not do dips on a dip station? 'Chair dips' or bench dips put your shoulders at a more compromised position (from what I understand) than 'regular' dips, I think it's because of the rearward placement of your arms/hands.

Keep your elbows tucked in - if they are flared it will hurt.

depends if your doing dips more for your tris or lower chest, either way it works both.. and of course either has alternatives, decline bench for lower chest and close grip or floor press for tris.. see how those go on your shoulder

when you dip down, don't let your shoulders shrug up, this may prevent you from going down deep but should help also prevent shoulder soreness. i had the same problem and this seemed to fix it.

You should start to mix in RC work.

Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

If you have weights try skullchrushers ! they are a real mass builder for triceps and you can really isolate them in the movement
