not many people know but ronnie did have back surgery in 2007...

hopefully the atrophies in his tricep and lat were mostly due to him avoiding working that side

ronnie really toned down the weights he was using since that injury,

these days he is using about half of what he used to with heavier movements.

I think he would easily dominate that show, considering the top 10 of this years Ironman were all really small guys which Coleman would dwarf!

I think he should maybe do the Arnold Classic, that would make the show more fun to watch

Even if he came in shredded, I think he'd still have trouble placing well. Top 5 maybe... but anything other than that would be a long shot IMO.

ronnie is going to need more time to regrow the muscle that has atrophied now that it's physiologically possible for him to regrow it. in my opinion, he's better off waiting for the europa.

not sure if his left quad will be able to look any better than it does though. his lat obviously will and his tricep probably will look better but not the same as the right. so if its just the left quad issue, he should be ok. at least looking at Mr. O's quads makes me think so.

You think? But wouldn't that already justifying a comeback? The capability of placing in the top 5? Judging from these new pics, he has really improved. He does not look worse than in 2007 and he was 4th at the O. Hell he nearly won the O in 2006 with really noticable symmetry problems. Who knows how big and conditioned he really were come show time?

I honestly think that he would have top 5 locked.

Yeah, for sure. But I think expecting him to win something like the Arnold... or even the Ironman is a little unrealistic at this point.

This is also what I am thinking, the "Europa" after the O is what Ronnie should do because it is similar to the O but not the O itself, where he had a perfect farewell. Furthermore the Europa is in Berlin and it would be certainly interesting for him to do something new.

I am sure he would be able to come in the top 5, considering he is perhaps the most respected bodybuilder in Germany he would have a small chance to even battle for number one if he keeps improving.

I think he will head for the O, and I'm pretty sure he's said at least once that's what he wants.

He still able to get automatic Qualification in 2010 i.e. less that 5 years since his last win, so I don't think he will bother to do any smaller shows etc.

Silvio won this years IronMan. Coleman easily beat Silvio in 2007 Mr O.
Coleman has improved since 2007 and Silvio not so much. So, why can't he win a show like that?

Coleman's left Quad is f*cked bro.

While his lat and tricep seem to be healing, the damage done to his leg is terrible. So the improvements aren't really propelling him ahead.

I don't think he's improved since 2007. He still has the atrophied tricep and lat. The quad deformity has worsened, his right calf is non existant and his waist is larger than in '07.

Ronnie right now is so unsymmetrical that him placing well in a pro show is out of the question.

ye ronnie won 8 mr olympia's with a herniated disk in his back and got surgery on it in 07, i hope he comes back and dose a few shows next year, not becuse i think he will do well but because it would be nice to see the big man back on stage with the likes of vic and branch again........
