tall people making excuses?
just wanted to know if being tall makes gaining mass harder?
my friend is 6" 4 and always makes excuses that i bench more them him becuase i'm smaller (6"0)
i thought taller people dont do well in bodybuilding because its alot harder to get symmetrical

he is 100% right
you are 100% unaware
I am 6 foot 6 and unless you are 12 and/or do not understand fulcrums and levers than you are retarted. His limbs are longer making it harder for him to bench moar.

height(or at least torso/limb ratios) can affect strength due to ROM/leverage. the same amount of mass on a large frame will look smaller than on a smaller one.
as far as actually gaining mass goes, it isnt any harder for a taller person though. plus it sucks being short.

I don't understand why tall people think its harder, yea theres the leverage thing, but their muscles should be bigger to suit their frame in proportion. Tall people just need to eat more to put on more mass to be in a good proportion, but that should be expected.

height dosent effect how easy it is for a person to gain mass i mean taller guys do have to eat more just because they generally weigh more, however height does effect how big or filled out a person looks, if a guy whos 5"6 benches 100kg and a guy whos 6"4 benches 100kg you can guarantee the guy whos 5"6 will look alot bigger.

Does anyone ever consider the extra mass that a tall person can add, compared to a short person? Obviously you can add more muscle to 1ft of bone than an to .5ft of bone. People always talk about leverage, fulcrums, etc, but not that a taller person can produce a greater force.

finally lol, someone who realises that a taller person should have bigger muscles, and they should be eating so much more than a short person but rarely ever do just due to average portion sizes. Its not more difficult for a tall person to lift more weight, they should be ****ing bigger

How does this work then the worlds strongest men competitors are well over 6 ft tall and many of them are top powerlifters and great benchpressers. Stop making excuses and work harder
