I was thinking of switching the power clean with another exercise. Is there a viable alternative that is a good mass building exercise? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I already deadlift and squat.

Eh..no. You can substitue power cleans for rows, but then it's not SS anymore.
"My opinion about barbell rows is as follows: **** barbell rows. Really. **** them. Stop wasting time worrying about barbell rows and get your deadlift up to 500. By then you'll have your own opinion and you won't have to worry about mine."

Bump. The power clean begins to suck after a while when you don't have access to bumper plates. My thighs are tired of being battered and bruised after every rep, plus a bad back injury is one mistake away when having to slowly put the barbell back down.
From what I understand the power clean is basically an exercise to develop explosive power, like what a football player would find useful. Also, it is an assistance exercise for the deadlift. Looking to pack on mass here.
So is it a general consensus that the barbell row is an appropriate sub?"If you don't Deadlift, the terrorists win."- eomrat
