    Dude At My Gym

    He works there and trains there

    he has the cover model look, ( the physique i am striving for )

    he weights probably around 190lbs and at around 6ft

    every time i seem him in the gym, he's always using low weights i mean very low, and does high reps, except for his chest exercises, is this to maintain the cover model physique or what?

    Idk some high reps are good it shows alot of muscle but doesn't mean your strong. Last night,I maxed out my ab crunch thing at 70KG with 20 reps but my abs don't grow well and I have low body fat..But they grow if I do 100 crunches with 25pounds on my chest

    it sounds like hes not going for the "big guy" look. Essentially the higher reps you do the more of a cardio/toning workout you are going for.
    It is only after you have lost everything, that you are free to do ANYTHING!

    I always go light, but I suppose light is relative. If you keep your rest intervals short, light weight is brutal. Obviously you still want to strive for progressive resistance, but 90% of the people I see in the gym use way too much weight with terrible form and excessively long rest intervals.

    i think its best to cycle high weight and low weight. 4 weeks of power training keeping reps at 4-6, then 4-6 weeks of hypertrophy training with my rep range closer to 10-12 with extremely strict form

    as i know it off most people who are juicin can be pullin off gains with low weight besides that i dont know. Correct me if iam wrong

    If you want that look you should train 8-12 reps and look for low bodyfat percentage. Not sure why he is doing low weight and high reps. I am presuming you mean 20 or more by high?

    how much reps is he doing? 5, 10, 15, 20?

    If hes doing around 15 hes just training for some hypertrophy and trying to get big and cut nothing wrong with it.
