How do you know what age the babies born today will live to?

Technology is always changing. New medicine is always being developed. It's only a matter of (relatively short) time until most people in the world are living until 100+ like it's nothing.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

there have been People who have lived past 100 years already, and if medicine gets better, then people can easily live past 120, which would mean that in 100 years there will still be a percentage of people still alive that are alive today.

Not the most well known site but the only thing I can find on this with a quick search. Basically the article says about half of babies born today in first world countries (UK in this article) can except to live till 100 years old baring accidents etc and not only live that long, be active most of it as well.
