How is every lift SO high on the misc?

I know estats are a common trend online....but is everyone estating?

im 6'2 at around 210 - 215lbs, with give or take 10 - 12% bodyfat, been training off and on for years yet...

i do not deadlift more then 305, squat more then 275, or bench more then 225..
and this is with proper form, full rom, ass to grass, etc

then i come on misc and see people who look like they have 0 muscle, weigh like 160 lbs and all seem to be squatting in the 300s, benching in the mid to high 200s, and deading bordering 400

first thing that comes to mind when i see this...

    explanations?

I don't know my lifts are pretty moderate -- 450 bench, 600 squat, 735 dead -- but its only because i spend most of my time working.

CEO, 10k/day... eats up a lot of time but it's worth it.

Logically most people on a site dedicated to working out will be stronger than the average guy in the gym.

I hear you. To compound this trend is the fact that damn near all of my lifts are the same, but i see people posting with deadlifts that are 2x their bench, and squats that are ~1.7x their bench.

I'd have some monster stats if i could pull off those numbers in relation to my bench.

maybe its cause your 6'2 tall.

if you can bench close to your body weight than thats good, but squat should be in the 300's if you weight 200+ pound.

    People fraud man, its obvious.

I dont even participate in e-statting threads like "How Much Can You Bench?" etc.

Because everyone in there benches 315 for reps, especially the 150 lbers.

its genetics man. i'm roughly your size and only moderately stronger but not natural.

yesterday on another board 2 guys posted deadlift vids, one is 19 and the other 20, both natural. one dude weighed 158lb and pulled 435lb, the other weighed 220lb and pulled 535lb. i will never hit either of those numbers even with gear and weighing 210lb. genetics.

but ya the misc is full of **** lol

It's not uncommon to see big bodybuilders who can't lift much weight compared to a 185lb, wirey power lifter. Strength and hypertrophy training is totally different. You can gain strength while working in a hypertrophy range, but the gains will come slower than focusing on a strength routine.

you've been training off and on no wonder, you probably lift with half ass intensity, have a ****ty diet and rarely get any rest.
this...lifting off and on accomplishes nothing. i took a two year break once for no real reason once, but other than that...only a week or so at most off every several months.

"on and off" = not dedicated to the heavy weight lifestyle

I think if you were as committed as the guys that move 4 plates you would have higher stats. That means not drinking beer, eating protein all day, and lifting 5x5.
