How do I buy a car?
I know this must sound retarded, but I dont know how. My car just recently broke down for the fourth time and its costing me a fortune. I dont even have a bank account and Im low on money. What do i need to do? Im embarrassed to admit this and Im scared, wtf? I dont want to buy another used crappy car that just keeps breaking down on me and I could gte a bank account if I need that to get one off a lot.

Do you have credit? Credit cards in general?
parents or family to co-sign?
Dump the car at dealer, what is it? Get something cheap that WORKS like a toyota or honda, for cheap $ and get loan

When you go to buy a car, you get something that doesnt have super high miles and is well taken care of. Ask for maintenance records, ask them questions...if one thing doesnt turn out then theyre lieing. Also ask them to meet you at a local dealer or mechanic to have the mechanic check it out (under 100 dollars) if they refuse dont buy it, and that way the mechanic will tell you whats wrong with it. Dealers arent always the most honest and they will try to rip you off cause they want to make a huge commission off of it.

Well if you want to buy a decent car, most people get a loan.

Use public transportation. It's your BEST BET if you don't have money.
Once you have money, have $1000 set aside in the bank for emergency repairs, decide what you WANT and CAN afford, and buy without financing what you think you like/want/need...nothing more.
Start small/cheap...disposable cars are the best anyways...worry free!

Its really hard to explain. i know it looks bad. Ive actually been buying like my own food and clothes since 17 which is no excuse but that adds up. I did a few years of comm college and just didnt even have a car and dropped out. I keep getting liek dead end jobs and **** just keeps happening that sets me back. Its really frusterating and I live in a fairly poor community and I was told the other day ver 50% of people here are on welfare. So it just happened. I also got a dui when I almost ahd enough to buy a decent car and I was even saving up for college too. I lost my job because of it.
